Hello,

This is not official thread, we came with this thread in order to transition into new platform correctly, feel free to report any bugs or share your thoughts and suggestions about our new system in this thread.

How long does files take to convert? been there 24h

I think someone said it can be 3 days.
I've got a video encoding and it was in the queue at +7000
24hrs later it's at +3000

So... 3 days looks about right to me.
Byse/filemoon is one of the better platforms and it's free so you really shouldn't complain.
 
Update Byse 1.3.0

  • We have implemented a notification system that allows us to send you personal notifications or system messages, such as information about processed payouts, etc.
  • We have disabled the dupe system; all files are now treated as unique. This is a mandatory setting for multi-quality.
  • We have enabled the MultiQuality system; all new files will automatically be encoded into 3 qualities (when the source is 1080p).
  • We have fixed a session discrepancy between storages and the website where users saw “You’re not allowed to upload files” when logged into the panel.
  • We have removed the video preview feature from our platform due to low usage (simply not needed).
  • We have completely reworked our cache system mechanisms and video proxying logic to resolve randomly appearing “unable to load video” errors.
  • We have modified the encoding system to handle multi-quality encoding and optimized it so the waiting time for files to encode is under 15 minutes for non-premium users.
  • We have deployed dedicated encoding servers for premium users, ensuring their files are always processed “LIVE.”
  • We have deployed a new system that transfers premium user files to dedicated storage servers, ensuring higher file security and reachability.
  • Encoding quality selection has been removed from the platform, as all eligible files now receive multi-quality by default.
  • We have introduced 4K encoding and streaming (available only upon request for high-traffic adult webmasters). 4K encoding utilizes VP9 codecs.
  • We have fixed downloads that sometimes returned a 1020 error served by our CDN.

Player:
  • We have fixed audio autoplay and language selection. The player now correctly enables your selected audio by default.
  • We have implemented ABR (Adaptive Bitrate Streaming). Since videos are now multi-quality, the player decides which quality to use based on the viewer’s internet throughput.
  • We have implemented HLS segment traversal so segment duration improves ABR decisions.

UI:
  • Added a notification control center to the user panel header section.
  • Adjusted the design of items in the header section.
  • Implemented search mode in the videos manager; you can now choose to search only by folders or files.
  • Implemented a swipeable element on the Subtitles Manager and Poster Manager pages that contains processing files, preventing them from appearing in the Your Videos section while being processed.
  • Implemented the same functionality in the Poster Manager section.
  • Re-implemented CAPTCHA on download pages (now displayed correctly with no more “host” error issues).
  • Implemented a 30-second pending period before a download can be started.
 
Overall, great update!
The only downside for me, is that video previews have been disabled. Any chance you could consider enabling that feature for those of us who were using it?
 
Great update indeed, finally a host that actually cares about solving the 232xxx errors and not just blame the users.

Unfortunately the slider preview is still not working.
 
Could you improve the search function to support more specific queries like "series name s01" or "series name s02"? Currently, searching by series name alone returns all results (including files already in folders), which makes management slow and difficult.

Sure we can improve the search by removing the search results for files that are already inside the folders so overall search will be limited to the current folder you're in. This will be implemented as button so you can specifically enable such search mode.
 
Thanks for the update, it's perfect, especially the conversion.
By the way, when I log in to my Opera browser, it kicks me out and I have to log in again, but it never logs me in. I don't know if it's an isolated problem, but it only happens in the Opera browser; everything is fine in Chrome.

As of the 1.3.1 update, we are happy to inform you that Filemoon is now fully deprecated. This means that all links no longer point to the outdated Filemoon platform, and the Byse player is served instead. Please note that Filemoon domains will continue to work until February 1st, so if you have not yet updated your embed links or direct links to Byse domains, you still have some time. After that date, Filemoon domains will be fully shut down. We will implement a grace period, after which, if you do not update your links, your account will be disabled, as we will not keep inactive accounts with no traffic.


Since we have reached a major milestone in the platform migration, we are pleased to announce that it is time to adjust the rates we pay and the features we offer. With the 1.3.2 update, we will switch our counting system by removing the old, outdated logic of counting views per IP. This method will no longer be used, as we believe our users deserve better than being limited by IP-based counting. Instead, we will begin counting views per unique device.


The new counting system will have no daily limits. Each unique device will be counted once per unique file per day. This means that if a viewer watches 100 different videos in a single day, all 100 views will be counted.


The new counting system will rely primarily on conversions, so each user may have different rates. We aim to take care of our advertisers as well as our users. The better your traffic converts, the higher your rate will be. The new system will also prevent situations where you earn less than our default rates. However, if we detect that your traffic does not convert at all, we may refuse to continue providing free services and require you to switch to 0% earnings mode or to premium services only.


We would also like to inform you that with this update, our custom domain system will automatically notify you if your domain is blacklisted by antivirus software or ad blockers. Please note that if your domain is blacklisted by antivirus software, we will disable earnings on your account until you update your domain to a new one.


Update Byse 1.3.1
  • We have enabled file expiry by default; files will now be stored for 30 days. Every user has the ability to automatically upgrade their account to a longer file expiry period or no expiry at all if their traffic is high. Our system periodically checks whether the user is maintaining the required traffic and will automatically downgrade the file expiry time if a significant traffic decrease is detected. (This feature is under testing and will not be live until the end of March.)
  • We have corrected our popunder script for custom ads, which under some circumstances caused the player to be non-clickable.
  • We have fixed the telemetry page, which previously had issues loading bandwidth related data.
  • We have made changes to our backend encryption by adding an extra security layer dedicated to older devices. This now correctly allows the player to load on older devices such as Android 8–10, some TVs, and older browsers.
  • We have added support for HTTP sites that were previously unable to embed the Byse player.
  • We have fixed the time slider in the player; it now correctly displays preview images when hovering over the timeline.
  • We have re-implemented the skip intro feature in the player, as the button was previously outside of the visible area.
  • We have corrected the share buttons, which were previously providing an incorrect domain.
  • We have updated the dashboard viewer count to source data from telemetry, as telemetry is more accurate.
  • We have updated the search functionality. You can now search through files within a folder. This means that when you are in the root folder, you will only see files located in the root folder.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 1.3.1 UPDATE WILL TAKE EFFECT DURING THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 16–17. DURING THIS UPDATE, MAINTENANCE WILL BE PERFORMED ON OUR EDGE SERVERS, STREAMING DOMAINS WILL BE UPDATED, AND THE EDGE CACHE WILL BE CLEARED.

I ask because for us who upload to the site, the problem is not just the link, but the translation as well. It's hard to find a format for the link and translation that fits, and then when we find one, this problem happens. I have this problem with the entire series, which has 90 episodes. Now I'm doing the same job again for the second time.

And I have a question: can you list all the links that have this problem in my account where I have to add new links?

I don't want to annoy you but maintaining traffic levels is becoming a lot more difficult these days. The Internet is changing and a warning that a file is about to be deleted would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry but reviving such files is not possible, such file statuses is our old system in nutshell where we deleted files and people were restoring them which resulted in files being missing on disk. This got changed in new system and each user file is treated as separate file so if one user has files broken other one will not suffer however that affects only new uploads not the files moved from old system to new.

There will be inactive files manager for that, files will stay there for 7 days before removal. However as i mentoined in my update statement such system will not be enabled to users untill the end of march.

I would like to ask you if you could protect my account as there is a lot of content like this, it will take me some time to add it back. So that I don't accidentally get banned.

Because I do everything manually link by link and it takes time. Because each link has to fit the translation because my native language is not English. I hope you understand everything.
