okay, I understand, but if some companies like you now support 4k, I expect you to do better )
These few companies either don't pay anything to the uploaders, have an even bigger company behind them that finances the whole thing or are simply so big that they can finance themselves completely with the advertising revenue.
They offer a system like YouTube, you look for something and you can watch it and you are not dependent on sites that redirect to the links.

1) It would be good to have 1080p active for premium accounts
2) who wants to upload 720p will upload 720p anyway
1. Maybe, that's Rapidvideos decision
2. No, people don't care. They upload whatever they get. Also like I said, they will never look like 1080p on a hoster which reencodes their videos to save storage. (Except YouTube, they are HUGE, they have a huge team and have unlimited storage space)

I think this is a great decision of Rapidvideo. People who want to watch 1080p should download the Source Video.

@RapidVideo please change the title of the topic then ^^

@Ta40

thank you, the mods here will update it shorty. :grinning: :fingers_crossed:

Actually removing 1080p will improve the encoding speeds and making our host more stable with encoding and everything. :eye:

Was 1080p disabled for premium hotlink users?

i just bought premium + hotlink for 1080p

If it is disabled, I will cancel my premium membership!

No, we just no longer encode 1080p. :disappointed_relieved:

I think you should review this decision again. we are paying for it. We must have a difference from free members.

that's why there are too many members to end premium subscriptions. especially turkish members are buying premium membership from you only for 1080p encoding.

we have our movie sites. We are in 2019 and now everyone wants to watch 1080p movies.

Then you can go to Google Drive for the 1080p encoding.:raised_hands:

It is an problem for us, if an $5 user uploads 10,000 of files just for 1080p encoding only. :anguished:
Most uploaders are actually abusing it for the free encodes.

If we should charge you the real price, it would be $100 per month or more for each uploader.

Since almost no normal viewers wants to buy an Premium, its sadly that it came to this decision.

money is not a problem for me, just google drive does not meet my requests but I am satisfied with your services

@RapidVideo Would it be possible to allow streaming the uploaded file while it's encoding? So people can watch the file while it's converting. Sure, it would get a little bit more traffic on it, but people would be more satisfied I think.
