To be honest Rapidspeeds look like their in enough trouble already. I very much doubt that they will tag on twitter leaseweb and then say they would take over.

That would cause serious trouble.

I believe them

RapidSpeeds Lease their hardware from leaseWeb they use two x Juniper switches per rack, each rack contains 38 systems inside of it, those racks connect to a Cisco 6500 catalyst each rack apparently has 10GigE (some people even say 2 x 10GigE) actually it is more like 4 GigE to each rack, When RapidSpeeds realized it's prices were too low to cover the 95th percentile which is 3 - 5 Euro per Mbit used they bumped up their prices which failed work then they started mailing high bandwidth usage clients demanding more money (Give us £800 per month we will ignore DMCA and not suspend you some clients were told as high as £1900 a month and also promised that DMCA's would be ignored ?? Are these people real?) then RapidSpeeds thought that the US market would be a good market to pounce on obviously didn't realize the laws there were tighter and bandwidth more expensive so obviously bills were not paid or paid late now the time has come to catch up they cannot so they have been shut down they have been told they pay 50% of what they owe and they will have services resumed can they do it ? personally i think not, will they do it ? also i think not.

They do have 2x10GE per rack, though it isn't very expensive for that. They aren't paying 3-5e, more like 1e and it is 95th as you say. I'm not sure about the mailing, it wouldn't actually make that much sense as they were at a size they could sustain that. Same with billing, I doubt they had money troubles knowing the profits they were making.

Its just got me thinking although i could be wrong?

Nathan said they had a massive ddos attack and that he could prove it, he has nothing to lose so why would he lie?

rapidspeeds once told me they pay £4 per mb of data.

Now if thats based on incoming and outgoing recieving a ddos attack that big, would mean f*cking huge bandwidth bills, did he decide to quit because of how much it would have cost him?

Just a thought

US generally has higher bw price,
but some providers, such as He.net charge $0.8 to $1 per Mbps for 10Gbps commitment,
how can providers charge £4 per mb of data in Europe?

why is that impossible? iv had quotes roughly the same and bigger from other companies for bandwith useage. Them companies i have to say are all UK based.

@LeaseWeb Will be taking over RapidSpeeds servers and clients. If you have a server with us, it will be switched back on tomorrow morning!

It would be better if you can provide more proof, such as a company name to support your statement, instead of "hear from someone". 100tb (uk2) offer low price high bw server in UK too, the most expensive part of their expense is the land of building a dc I guess.
