Fileserve Auto-Renewal: How do I stop it?

I have been caught by the Fileserve Auto Renewal scam for the last three months and could find no way to opt out on their website.

So I followed the suggestions above and first sent an email to support@egatepay.com with the following wording....

Dear Sirs,

A company called Fileserve which uses your Visa Gateway is illegally deducting monthly payments of $9.99 USD from my Visa Card Account.

I have asked them to stop but they don't answer emails.

Would you please prevent Fileserve from making any further deductions from my Visa Card account?

The last four digits of my Visa account are XXXX.

The email address which I used with Fileserve is XX@XXXX.com


Thankyou, etc



Their reply came back in about 6 hours....

Dear Fileserve Client,

It has come to our attention that you were looking to cancel your FileServe membership. Although the company eGate Payment Technologies Ltd is not associated with FileServe, we do provide our secure payment technology to this merchant by hosting their payment page.
As we strive to provide the best service possible to everyone who contacts us, we have taken the proactive approach per your request to ensure that no further billings from FileServe may occur on the card/email you provided.

Please note that we will inform FileServe accordingly of your request and our subsequent actions.

I also sent an email to customercare@fileserve.com asking them to stop making monthly deductions to my Visa card and pay me back for the 2 months of charges I didn't authorise.

Here's there reply which came back in 7 hours...

We are sorry for the long wait. Further charges on your Credit Card has already been cancelled from our side.
Please be noted that if there are charges prior to this date of our confirmation, it will be/has been added accordingly into your fileserve account.

We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please do not send another email. Instead, reply to this email directly.




So with help from everyone above it looks like I've stopped the Fileserve auto renewal although they are not going to pay back what they have stolen.

I have also asked my bank to dispute the Visa card transactions that were illegally billed by Fileserve. This process can take up to six weeks.

In the meantime I will never use Fileserve again and encourage others to follow suit.

thanks for the info, ive also sent them an email. ill never use fileserve ever. they really scam you with this kind of auto renewal without the ability of the end user to cancel. very misleading
 
You would have thought that cancelling my account with fileserve would have sorted everything out but just get on to google and you will find lots of unhappy ppl that have still had payments taken from their bank accounts after they had cancelled with fileserve. I ended up cancelling my debit card, emptied my bank account and ordered a new card. Cant see how they can take anymore cash from me now.
 
Any update guys? I also need help from this. Ive tried contacting fileserve but so far no reply. I've tried contacting RickyFS through a personal message but it seems as hes not responding. Can any one please help?
 
I hope Ricky will be able to help me out as soon as possible. I really need my subscription to be canceled. Please Ricky, help me out! Thanks
 
*Update*
Today I recieved 2 messages in my email. 1 from eGate support and 1 from Fileserve support.

Here is the first message from eGate support.

Dear XXX

Thank you for your email.

We have cancelled your Fileserve Subscription.

Kind Regards

Anyways those are the two messages that I recieved today in my e-mail confirming that my fileserve account has been cancelled.
I also finally got a respone from RickyFS confirming that my fileserve account has been cancelled, so a BIG THANKS to RickyFS.
If you need support from this problem, PM RickyFS, he will help you.
I will update later on to confirm that my subscription has ended after it's expiration.

Can some one please advice what to do.. have emailed to fileserve from the "Contact" link, but no reply yet.

I have emailed customercare@fileserve.com but no reply yet :/ I really want them to stop this bullshiT!

Any help? what email or form should i use to contact Egatepay?
 
in you paypal account, you have to go : Profile -->My Money and click update
My preapproved payments, you have to see a list click on fileserve and after on canceled.

Will give it a day and see what happens! RickyFS told me to w8 and see :)

Will update you guys on this, for people who also got problems with fileserve!
 
i still havne't got an answer from them.. and i have sent them 2 mails..

Should i still try to w8,, have waited for 30 hours now or something
