Anyone who says that FS isn't a scam is a fucking criminal.
You shouldn't have to jump through hoops with a "company" just to cancel service.

How do you explain the fact that when one goes to the Site Map section, the link that reads 'Change Payment Details" actually takes him to the "Change E-mail" page?? Anyway, can you please guide me on how to change my credit card's cvv2 on your site, cause it 's changed and i cant find out how i can have it updated..i made a subscription about a month ago using directly my CC (not Paypal and such)
 
I'm having a similar problem trying to contact Fileserve about canceling my account. I found this thread after doing some googling and tried to pm RickyFS. I'm not sure if the probation stops me from trying to pm users so I decided to also post in this thread.

After emailing RickyFS my username on Fileserve, email used to signup, and date of premium account purchase he claims to have put a stop to the recurring payments to my credit card. No way to check now if this is true until my next credit card statement comes in the mail. I will post an update once that happens.
 
Well at least he has contacted you. Not for me yet.
Please do post an update if he has done anything. Anyway when is your expiration date?
 
I received an email from FS. Saying that they have cancelled the subscription on their end. What's left to see is to let my premium account expire. I'll update my status when the time comes.
 
Good news, logged into my Fileserve account just now, September 2nd, a day after the expiration date of my premium account on Fileserve and was presented with the following screen

Again if anyone wants to cancel the recurring payments to their credit card PM RickyFS with the following details:

  • Username on Fileserve
  • Email used to signup
  • Date of premium account purchase

And thanks RickyFS for the quick response to my PM and resolving my issue.
 
^thats nuts! they should have an option to stop recurring payment directly in the fileserve website. else they shouldn't go with recurring payments for CC directly!
 
I registered to this site so I could PM RickyFS to stop the autorenew.

But I can't find the PM button. Maybe because I'm a newbie?

I figured it out. Hopefully he sees it soon.

I found a way to stop payments by credit card, write a mail stating your request, your registration email and name of the cardholder at this address: customercare@fileserve.com

It worked for me (well, they told me it was done, we'll see next month if it's true)

Aarrgghhh!!!

I also signed up here as i wanted to cancel my Fileserve premium account. Its just madness this. Fileserve make it really difficult to cancel so they hope ppl get fed up and continue paying. Its disgusting. Of course there is not a link to cancel your account - that would be just too easy.

I have requested my premium account be closed by clicking on the CONTACT US link on the Fileserve page, I have also used this email addy customercare@fileserve.com ( thanks to nayllko) and have PM'd RickyFS for his help in this matter. Hopefully someone will contact me with some info and of course I will post my results here so it may help others. Keep yer fingers crossed for me peeps.
