Please take a look earlier in this thread, I’ve explained it probably a dozen times.
The views you see on SaveFiles for each country are TOTAL views, not paid views.

We’d like to get all the views separated in a table, but that will take some time.
Maybe you should prioritize to implement it to prevent misunderstanding again and again

I was just asking someone else this. Would you rather have super high rates but a million ads, or decent rates with not many ads?
From viewers pov, I can tolerate a fair amount of ads, but the videos should play smoothly.
Just my opinion.

Yea, but just added this now for a temporary fix:

Well you can create a folder inside of a folder and move any videos you want inside it

EDIT: Because we’re the most honest and transparent host, let me share some numbers with you.

Yesterday we generated $507 in revenue but paid out uploaders $1129. And that doesn’t include other expenses like server costs. We’re too generous with rates currently and need to adjust. Therefore, we lowered some of the tiers, but we are still higher than every other host.

We’re also still counting 4 views/ip, which we might adjust eventually.

We also don’t shave, so it was tough for us to keep the original tier rates. We didn’t decrease it drastically, just a few dollars in some tiers.

We'll review the data over the next few days.

Also, Sent payouts! :moneybag: :money_with_wings:

How does this go with what was said above that attracting new uploaders will increase the payment for views. At the moment, it looks the opposite, the more uploaders, the less profit. Rather, new uploaders are attracted, on the basis of which rates will be cut, in case some refuse to use the service. Something is being reduced every day.

At first, these were VPN views, which supposedly brought losses.
Didn't you know before that the advertiser doesn't pay for VPN views?

Then there is no profit because you paid more than you earned.
Didn't you know the CPMs that the advertiser pays before that?

A couple of days of events with higher payments for certain Tiers do not outweigh the profit in the long term.
Now it looks more like high prices for views were again posted to attract people and then, when they start using the service, then turn around in the hope that the uploaders will stay because of the work invested.
A standard scheme that most experienced uploaders have long known and are already tired of.

Under the pretext that you also have slightly higher rates than others.
But that's not why we chose you at that particular moment.

P.S I've attached a picture of what you said a couple of weeks ago (when there weren't so many users yet)

Appreciate your input, but as I clearly said in the picture "realistically nothing lasts forever". Always being honest and transparent.

And I will note, we literally still have higher rates than every other hosts, so your argument is not that valid. But respect your opinion either way.

At the end of the day we're a business trying to be profitable. So I could just put every tier at $100. I'm sure you'd love that, but we'll be bankrupt soon. LOL

Yes, and also said "But definitely for a few months AT LEAST".

The rates are good, but it goes opposite way and doesn't match what was said - As you gain new uploaders, the rates will be higher.

OUR RATES ARE STILL HIGH

Be honest @Slippery99, would you rather me not say publicly that we're turning down VPN earnings, and I should just do it secretly? I'm literally trying to be the most honest and transparent. No other host support would respond to you at 2 AM for them local time.

Spread more love brother. We've already put too much money into this business and are doing everything possible to be profitable and not lose money every day.

I respect that you announce every decision publicly and transparently and not secretly. I know it's not easy. The main thing is not to become the same hosting as others.
I'm still here.

I hope for the best - profit for all of us :)

Appreciate you a lot @Slippery99. I understand from the uploader's standpoint, it always sucks when a host decreases rates. But we're currently at a point where we are losing $700 USD per day, just to reward all of you with high rates.

And it even sucks when some people call us "greedy" or "shavers" when we're literally losing a lot of money every day  (Thankfully I have a lot more money to keep this running)

I'm not sure if you've read my Journey thread with SaveFiles, but we're not going to stop until SaveFiles is a large and well-known host!

Hope we both reach success together :rocket:

Wow thats a big loss!

What needs to happen so that you start earning a decent amount instead of losing?

Well it’s a simple economics formula. We either need to increase revenue, decrease expenses, or a combination of both.

Our biggest expense right now by far is how much we pay uploaders per day. Other hosts decrease this expense by “shaving” and having lower rates.

I did increase the ads yesterday. So I’m reviewing the income and will see what the numbers are looking like shortly for that 👍

Also, I’m going to sleep now so I’ll talk to you all in 8 hours. Nice chit chatting

I wish PPD websites were as honest as you, man.

Unfortunately for both of us, there's only so much Asian traffic I can bring in—most of my user base is more interested in downloading files.

That's why it would be great if, one day, it became possible to upload ZIP files too, not just MP4s (even if it got a download option), so people can download them as well. more variations can be great I think

Hey I remember you said before that you want more traffic from tier 1 right? so my views are more from tier one especially US - UK - CA and let me tell you today i got messages telling me that they can't play videos because there is none stop ads, i see you have put more ads now, i'll give you advice if you want more views from tier 1 than you really need to not make the video impossible to watch because from my exerprience the most people that hate a lot of popups are US + UK + CA people more than other countries, and by the way no one one has complain before they all loved it but now with a lot of ads they will slowly stop watching, this is just advice for you if you really want more views from tier 1 than you really need to reduce ads and by the way im talking about both mobile and pc users there is a lot of ads on both! so think about it if you want a lot from tier 1

I noticed that the ads have increased A LOT.
I tried to watch a video and more than 20 popups appeared and the video didn't start.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Antivirus gives message that embed video got virus.
Really? Send us a message with it

Update: I'm not going to even wait 24 hours for testing the "higher ads" in hopes of bringing in more revenue, so that we can be profitable. I am just going to reduce the ads now.

Also removed the ad network that we added yesterday, probably giving the anti-virus warnings
