A conversion rate is calculated by the number of prospective visitors performing the desired action, whether the action is filling out a form, buying services or a product or some other goal of the web page. For example, if there are 100 visitors to a particular web page via a pay per click ad, and two visitors buys the service or product among them, then the conversion rate for that particular ad is two percent.
