I ran a few tests, and the site is currently too poor to be usable. There is a mandatory two-minute waiting period, and during those two minutes you can’t leave the page. The timer freezes. The download speed is also very poor it took about one minute to download a 20 MB e-book. The speed was between 300 and 500 KB/s.

In addition, I couldn’t even see a file that I downloaded myself listed as an “own file” download on the reports page. I hope they don’t have a system that shaves or ignores downloads.

As it stands, I wish good luck to any uploaders planning to use it. The site seems to be managed with a mindset from 2008.

Thanks for taking the time to test the site and share your feedback.

Just to clarify a few things:

The wait time is 60 seconds, not two minutes. We have also fixed the issue where the timer would stop if you left the page.

Download speeds are capped at around 2 MB/s. If you were getting 300–500 KB/s, it may have been related to your connection or location. Feel free to try again.

For reports, we currently show completed downloads only. If you need more detailed download stats, just email us at support@uploadao.com and we'll be happy to send them.

We also do not shave, ignore, or remove downloads from the stats. Every completed download is counted.

One thing I'd like to ask: you mentioned that the site feels like it's managed with a "2008 mindset." What exactly made you feel that way? We'd appreciate the feedback and are always looking for ways to improve.
