Sony ofcorse , for View and look and best sound system prefer sony , but if u want only Display and planning to buy home threatre with it then go for samsung

samsung becuz it supports all formats in their USB. Sony does not support MKV or M2TS, you can only see .jpeg in SONY TVS.
Also if you look to sales, Samsung is leader of the world. Then came LG and Philips. SONY does not sell TV, they sell AUDIO and playstation things.

Best choice is for you to look at all TV's Sony and Samsung. Everyone's vision is not the same and because of that one brand will look better to you.

Doesn't make sense to by a tv someone else likes the way it looks.

I have this thing in my mind which, I guess, will never change, that samsung products are just some cheap devices with a bunch of features whereas sony's seem more premium.
