Let me share my experience with above pack of crap. First I had Netherland VPS. They placed me on Intel Xeon x3320, 8 GB RAM and some slow drive. Are you serious? Aren't VPS Nodes supposed to be more powerful? That explains why my VPS was always slow, and most of time down. Okay,lets move on. They recently got hacked and lost my data on VPS, they lost all VPS data from every client. It pissed me off, I wanted to fly to Singapure and fucking beat Pijit Pornpan. Over a year of hard work ruined, because of them. Silly me,I thought they didnt loose shared host data. in faith I will be safe I switched to their shared hosting. Besides slow speeds my data was safe. It was enough for me. Few days ago they lost my data on shared hosting. They said their storage system went corrupted. They had no backups,my data is lost again. What did I find out today? They got hacked again and hacker says on hackforums he would post all our database and files on that hack forum.Do you realize what does it means? Our IPs public,makes us open to anti pirate agencys and police. You know what ServeDome? FUCK YOU LIARS, NOOBS AND IDIOTS.

Its pretty sad to see something like this happen again its become pretty obvious there security is sucking big time.
How many times is it now? got to be atleast the 4th time its been hacked right?8-)

IF anyone has accesse to there backups try and download it NOW because it may not be there for long.

The way i see it is:
If you get hacked once, you learn from your mistakes and improve the quality off service and security, bu like 4 times now is a joke and proves they cannot provide a service that you NEED to be secure espcialy due to the content off the sites which are hosted there.

Its a complete joke, i cannot see why they are still in business to be honest.

Never rely on your host. I have some sites hosted with major hosts like bluehost and hostgator. Even though they have backups etc. I still take my very own personal/critical backups.

Trust me, it is your own job to take backups, not the hosts'.

I'd rather be safe than sorry, knowing the critical backups are on my hard disk at home in safe hands.

That is right. You have to make your own back up and do not rely on their back up.

+1 NEC. haters plus critics is equal to competitors lol..
 
While hosting companies should provide at least some kind of security to clients, if the data was so important to you, you should have taken your backups. It's not nice to lose data once a month but you are responsible for your data.

Agreed.

Despite, it looks like it was a very simple but overlooked exploit. I think one of the accounts was used to inject c99.
 
I've been with SD for some time. They lost my data once as well, speeds are ok on shared but they need to work on their security
 
ok u can't ay its bad service cause it was'nt always like this, They used to be really good, about 1 year with them now and things where great at first, then things started going sideways......and the person saying haters or competitors I would say that u are definatly a servedome reseller or from the support team, cause if u really have an account with them u would know what the * we are all talking about. Or maybe you have a site that has no traffic so u can't tell whats what. Or maybe u don't visit your site 24/7 to know when ur sites been down r not. They got hacked again now, and hacerforums shows the detail of the accounts that have been hacked, and if ur a hacker u would know what that post over there means, and can be a bluf, but unlikely given that they have been hacked more than once now, and NO host gets hacked 3 times and can be trusted. Who is a hater here I am no hater I have been with them for a long time, Our site went down yesterday for the whole night, over 6 hours down, 3 days ago over 8 hours down, 1 week ago over 48 hours down. So for me to say a bad thing does that make me a "Hater" or "Competitor"???? Make some sense then post don't just post something without knowledge of what ur sayng because we are all with them, and check my posts here u will see that I am not a hater or competitor cause I have opened over 6 tickets with them and nearly a year with them now so please when u say something be sure of it otherwise be quiet. Do you know how many shared hosting servers, Servedome actually has ?

last time i worked for the company i believe it was 7 - 8 and all between 8 - 12 GB of ram which is normal for a shared environment.


Next time before you, Anyone purchases anything read the terms of service

Servedome once was a great company, Since the virtual-server incident months ago the company has struggled i suppose.
