Even i have some backups for my files there are aproximately 5000 files that i need to upload again on other servers and in this moment it seems impossible for me.., i don`t have any energy at all... i`m dissapointed but resigned in the same time...i already opened a dispute at paypal since yesterday because after i read all the posts here and on other forums, probably hundreds or even thousands of posts there is only a conclusion, leaseweb wants to give our servers back, but they can`t do that because rs probably don`t want to give up so easy and to lose money or don`t know... if lw didn`t want to involve in this matter they could said from the beggining that our servers will no longer be available in this life :) but i think that they still hope that there is a possibility to recover their money and this is the only hope for us too ...
Probably the only solution for this Dareen guy (or what the hell is his name) to pay for what he has done is to hire 2-3 of my bulgarian neighbors to trace, torture and probably kill that bastard :)...

Edit: i`m probably the only one that i didn`t sleep in the last 2-3 days... Can someone recommend a new hosting similar with rs connection and specs ? which is the next rs ?:)

You should consisder contacting @Krun!x. I've haven't had an issue with his webhosts in over year. And his support staff has been nothing but helpful.
 
Now, backup your shit, start a dispute and hopefully try to damage Rapidspeeds back.

If it wasn't for Leaseweb you would never see those files again.

As for new hosts I'd recommend greatseeder.com (for dedicated, using it for over 2 years now) and knownsrv.com (for shared or VPS).

Yes, I'm sooo advertising other hosts.
 
Leaseweb did us a big favor, i wish the time frame was longer.
Is anyone else here ordering a Leaseweb server? I might order a 1GBps NL server today.

I think the response primarily by this site alone towards LeaseWeb had a lot to do with how they are currently handling the situation. Everybody here should be proud of themselves as we all bound together informing members and visitors alike surrounding the situation and for providing ex-RS users an opportunity to recover from the situation.

Filed my paypal dispute and escalated it straight away. Only for 15 euros but what the hell. :D

Don't try to damage rapidspeeds, damage Darren henry, what he did is pure theft, he took my payment for a new server, 2 hours before all his stuff shut down, i will start legal actions against HIM and not his company as soon as paypal confirms the dispute failed.

I urge everybody else to charge HIM personally and not the company, for fraud and theft.

Can anyone confirm they can escalate a claim on PP immediately?

It seems on my dutch bussiness account i can't, have to wait till after 4th of december.

Since the timeframe given by LW is a bit too low for some, I just bought a 'temporary server' so to say. I've got like ~2.8TB of space on it, 1gbit, it's in Germany. Will be opening a thread so people who need their data stored somewhere else temporarily can use it. More details in a bit.
 
BoxSlots will also offer 8-9TB storage space until Monday the 5th of December to Aid LifeTalk with his mission of help for those suffering with no were to go right now.

I ordered 4 lots of 4TB 100TB servers with leaseweb today and was promised setup will be today - I'll also offer some FTP accounts for someone struggling with data

I have to hope & pray that I get the servers today or im in deep sh*t
 
So the story finally has a quite well ending :P I personally never thought that a big company like rapidspeeds would end this way. In the past, I was going to rent a server from them, but I hated the 3.5% processing fee, so I never did. I'm the lucky guy :p

For Paypal dispute, there's a big change to get your money back. Remember *NOT* to tag your dispute with intangible goods, service... If you see something like other, stick it, Paypal will take care of it, I've got experiences for similar cases.

And do not forget to report this person to Paypal, its staffs will check the seller's account if someone's reporting, and if Paypal finds out there're too many disputes against that account, it's definitely be limited.
