Thats great, but so far i have paid for something that i have never recieved, i don't need an announcement, i need my money back right now and i'll do absolutely anything to squeeze it out of the person responsible.

I do not think RapidSpeeds / Darren would run away with anything. Just wait for his reply. You can not be certain about anything until the Owner of the Company has confirmed it.

Where is the owner then? Several people have tried to contact him over the last 30 hours and got no response. Don't tell me he is not aware of all this. That's impossible.

Indeed, where is the owner?

I will give him 24 hours to come up with a full refund of my purchase (that i never recieved) before legal action will be taken immediately for (very obvious) misleading/scamming behavior and theft.

No answers means trouble for the owner.

well now its too late. The chances of getting the servers back online is very close to nil. Every RS customer should 2 things
*Dispute ur payment to Rapidspeeds
*Email Leaseweb to get ur data(if its dedi)

For VPS owners, I dont think thr is any way to get back the data unless Leaseweb bring back the old server online

This same thing happened to me when "SparkGate" ran away & I had to contact DC to bring back the server(on which my VPS was) online for 24 hrs so we can get back the data & the DC did that. I dont remember the DC name though.....

Just wanted to say thanks to all the conspirators, nay-sayers, and slightly-informed folks here at WJ for all the input on this topic. I had no idea what on earth was going on with RS until i found y'all via Google. Suffice to say I'll be sticking around.

Now let's hope for everybody's sake this gets cleared up with either our services back or monetary compensation for our losses / paid services. :'(

Relax? For what?

I buy something, i never recieve it, and the company owner is vanished, and the entire company is dissolved?

If this clown can think he can walk with my money, he better be able to sprint...hard.

Before anyone starts complaining that Leaseweb is at fault by speculating that their bandwidth policies or they charge too much remember that they aren't the ones who sold you the service.

Leaseweb is a great company if you use them correctly. I am through a reseller as well and we get good pricing however, if my server was to go down I would be blaming my provider not Leaseweb. We all take a chance when dealing with resellers and this is one of them.

On a side note I hope people get their data back but you can never have your eggs in one basket. So as a owner, reseller, client I always back up my own personal data elsewhere regardless of how good a company might be. I suggest most of you look at backblaze/dropbox and start there. That is the easiest / cheapest method. I tend to back up to my RAID server at home.

The Most Funniest Comment I read Ever!

Just because a service is down for a few hours you do not have to PANIC!
Their twitter page clearly states that they have problems.

Wait another 24 hours before PANICKING!

Yes let's all wait for another 24 hours while he clears out his paypal and bank accounts and heads off to the Caribbean <_<

only hope is Leaseweb , they have complete backup of our sites

This is what Leaseweb said
"On the other hand; Rapidspeeds was using own network and IP range, we do
not know which ip belongs to which server unless we get a list from
owner of Rapidspeeds and this is what we are still trying to get as
well."

So pray Darren sells Rapidspeeds to Leasweb, then we have chance to get our data backup:(

but to whom i chatted he said nothing complications are there to give our data, i asked him directly is our data is safe he said yes and shifting too, only thing he told me that legal discussions are going on with RapidSpeeds :) and told me to wait till they close Discussions with RS.....
