i am hosting my sites on hivelocity (Unmanaged )and host is down regularly and i think their charges are high

Check the Quad Xeon E3-1240 Plan on Shineservers. They are the cheapest one i can find for managed dedicated servers
You get like 4x1TB HDD+ 16GB RAM + 1 GBPS + 50TB bandwidth + Fully Managed for £220.00
£220.00 = $352
 
I will also suggest Shineservers or Scopehosts. They are both been knowing for their support.
Price is not supposed to be the most important thing, quality is more important.
Like pay 10$, 20$ more but you will get better support.
 
Seems rather high, yes. Head over to WebHostingTalk and look at the dedicated server offer section, you'll find some awesome deals there.

I would personally recommend reliablesite. Their servers + network is brilliant and their pricing is really great. You can get the following server from them in 119$

More specifically, what would you be using the server for? And also where is the majority of your visitors from?

Also what sort of Management do you require? As some offer Simple to enterprise level management services, prices become extortionate the more support you may need, due to "Fully managed" may not mean everything.


As a suggestion for a dedicated server that includes phenomenal support by Kruno would be www.KnownSRV.com -- I would also suggest contacting them for a more of a custom config in there new DC in NL ;)

I can vouch for Krun and his "Managed" services, it would put many to shame with his knowledge, let-alone the prices :P

You can definitely get the latest E3 and 16GB of RAM, larger HDD and gigabit port + managed services with the price you're paying. It's not hard.

If you need a touch support, don't even bother trying Burstnet. They are big, but they can't take care of your little stuff. If things go wrong, you would most likely expect the consequences. Though they are not that bad in price after all. Just be sure of your overage charge. The last time I remember if you buy additional bandwidth it will cost you a fortune. Compared to other providers it is very expensive.

If you are looking for managed provider you can try Knownhost and WiredTree. Both are established managed hosting provider.
