Hello, There is a small problem with Netdirekt
and we have asked them to shift our servers to a different node.
The shifting should be done by today and all the speed issues will be solved. :)

When it's downloading from torrents it's downloading from multiple places.

When you're downloading from the VPS to you it's one thread.

Use more threads if you can, use a download accelerator etc.

Could also be that your isp doesn't have good routes/peering to .DE - not much you can do about that.

Nope, single connection speeds to anywhere Netdirekt is not directly peered to has dropped precipitously and are now hovering around 30-60 kilobytes per second per connection.

This is absolutely unacceptable.

This renders the service completely useless.

Hope any improvement comes soon as I've lost much of my time and money wasted on this now. (as this has been going on for about 4 days now.

Well, as said Net direkt is facing issues and we are trying out level best to solve it.
Also to add, I dont think so you have wasted your money
From your stats you have Uploaded 4 TB of data, from a KS L300 VPS in 15 days,4 TB BW, for 25$ is worth and still you have 15 more days in which
i would say you will use couple more TBs.

3.3626 TB over 13 days = 24.5249459 megabits combined direction, or 12.2624729 megabits per direction.

I could get better connection with any shared host.

So no, its really not worth it with all the trouble that's happened.

Not if the shared host was on NetDirekt. NetDirekt is the problem here.

There's another test file on a different company's ND gbit VPS. I was getting 50MB/sec from it to .UK a week ago. Now I'm getting 600KB/sec.

It's a pain in the arse that ND are fucked right now, and I hope it's fixed soon, but just sit tight.

Stop astroturfing.

Going by your posts you are an alt account made specifically to astroturf.

The problem is knowinservers not giving me a prorated refund when I asked for it.

If they're not going to refund me, then I'm going to list all the legitimate problems I've had with them.

I have nothing to lose. If they terminate me, then I paypal chargeback. If they lie to me, I can ignore it.

There is no reason for me to be silent about a real and disabling issue like this.

Get a grip mate. There's as much chance of you being a competitor trying to trash their reputation as there is of me being associated with them, trying to "astroturf" as you put it.

I've nothing to do with the company other than being a customer who paid $25 a few days ago after hearing good things on here, and having been less than impressed with the service.

I've got a ticket open about the speeds too. I never suggested you be silent, I just explained that it's not directly KS's fault, and that the cause of the problem is out of their hands. They're waiting for NetDirekt to fix it, so you're waiting for NetDirekt to fix it.

Good luck with the paypal chargeback, they don't do chargebacks for non-tangible goods. Been down that path with another provider earlier this month. You'd have to do it through your bank.

Of course you should complain, things aren't working properly. I'm just saying to hold tight because there's bugger all KS can do about it.

Well, your above calculations are theoretical and not practical.
3360 GB Bandwidth in 13 Days, and to sum up, on average
You could use upto 7 TB of bandwidth in one month,
so talking about your shared host, i would like to know
which shared host can offer you 7 TB of Bandwidth on Gbps port for 25$.
Check around , search google and see if you can manage to get such deals on a shared host.

Talking about refund, According to our terms we dont refund after 24 Hours,
still due to the issues, we will be happy to Refund you.
Talking about Prorated refund, we will have to count the bandwidth and number of days.
Netdirekts bandwidth charges 5 Euros Per 1TB, and hence they will be applicable for you as well.
You only get unmetered bandwidth if you use it for a month.

Let me know what you want to do in this case, and i will be happy to help you.

Edit: You have been partially refunded. Good Luck

Thank you for your patience and understanding mate.
Appreciate it and we promise to shoot out this problem asap :)

Yes it will off course be solved.
I am on conference with Netdirekt and it looks like they have issues with their switches.
Hope to solve this asap.
