As our partner @GreatMachine said, the maximum amount for the $1 per video part is $1000.
But there is no maximum for double rates besides the 3 months earnings.
Now I'm confused.
Would they pay $ 1000 directly?
Then the other $ 43,000 would be double rate?
If so, the $ 1000 would prefer by another means of payment, is not a problem right?

The maximum compensation for files lost is 1000$
There is no cap in in the second compensation which is 3 months earning.
A quick math:
You had more than a 1000 video so you are capped at 1000$
You earned 300$ in January from your videos so it's 300$x3 = 900$
Your total compensation balance is 1900$
You request a 100$ paiement from your earning, 100$ will be added automatically from your compensation balance.
Now you have left 1800$ and each time you request a paiement, the double of it will be added until you compensation balance turns 0.
This system is clear and balanced.
I hope I was clear enough.

If you want files to never disappear, you pay for your own space to store your videos, but I don't think totomos will do that

First of all, you told you alone. You have 3 videos and you didn't ask for everything and he with 44000 videos overdoes it.. WOW! Really good point!
Second of all he is right. If Gounlimited wanted, to be honest, he could say from the first day that the compensation would be at maximum of 1.000$ and that double rates would be for another WHOLE (another WOW here) month.
Guess what. He DIDN'T. And all these happen when I asked him for details. That's why he blocked my account, I have never left awfull comments as he said at one of his last tearful and "I am the good one here and they are the bad" comments.
Third of all. If he truly have bought so many servers and deleted all files from old servers, why don't he use them for smoother operation of your (and his) work?

also, for some people this can be their main work.. running a video website using GOU as host. I don’t think you know what you’re taking about mate.
