I know you guys are working on making the file manager better but why dont you a small portion of your money into the development of an official file manager, i know there is one unofficial one out but it has a lot of bugs and also it cant be updated as frequently as it is not from fileserve itself.
Having a stand alone file manager will reduce some load off your website filemanager as well, rapidshare and megaupload were mostly popular because of those features, so i think fileserve should be too as i see it as the no 1 filehost at this time

Our File Manager will hopefully be significantly improved with the few changes we're making (whether the old or new version). I believe our techs finally have a grip/understanding to what causes this, so hopefully before the weekend we can have a new file manager out including improved speeds - If the new file manager isn't out before weekend I can almost still guarantee quick loading of your "My Files" tab.

In terms of a desktop tool, we are going to build an upload mod to our fileserve manager program. If it will include a way of browsing in and out of your files; I will not be able to guarantee.

thanks for the reply mate, i will be anxiously waiting for the new improvements and will keep my fingures crossed for the addition of a file manager interface to be added to your desktop tool :)
 
Ricky, are you already aware that Filestube.com has not been including files hosted on fileserve in their search results since Jan. 11, or at least they barely included fileserve?

Try searching any popular keyword on filestube and the latest fileserve result you will get is from Jan 10. They've also barely indexed fileserve links on Jan. 8 to Jan. 10. Filestube ranks 208 in the US and 125 all over the world (Alexa).

Hi, I have the following problem, I created a series of folders that contain files, but when I try to access the folder tells me:

404 - Page not found

but my files are there because they are accessed by direct link, and my storage space also has changed
 
not fallen, some of my folders are not, but when I search the files that are in these folders if present, but only files not folders. I have like 20 folders in this situation

Is it just coincidence or the speed of the web file manager has drastically improved? The response time for the past 30 minutes was very very fast! Every search I made - and I made about 2 dozen searches - each result came back in 5 secs or less. Whatever happened, I wish this will last. If this was the doing of your techs, kudos! A million thanks to them!

@ draxter: Hmm...Can you give me the links in a PM of the ones that give you 404?

@ iTwins: I hope it isn't a coincident. We did get techs to do the tweaks and as explained earlier this week we believe they have finally managed to get a "grip" on this issue.

@ Tattoo: You requested payout on a Wednesday. 100% you wouldn't get it. Cut off time was Tuesday (11th) @ ~3-4AM EST (FS time)
