The first time I have 2 files pending about 2 hours. I have reupload and overwrite them few times in FTP but still pending. Very strange than usual.

Regards!

Earnings for last 3 days 50% smaller ! :/ Maybe because of me , maybe because of FS i don;t know , but they are ! :(
Still , i Love FS !

Yeah I have the 0$ thing as well. I think the redeemable codes from using your money that you have gotten through FS should be a bit cheaper if you are using their money so to speak.

e.g. earned 10$ instead of cashing it out via paypal, should have option to buy a redeemable code at a cheaper price? Say 20% cheaper or something. I guess it would benefit FS as it keeps the money in the company?

just my 2c

Yeah agreed with you there. So long as there's a perfect way to implement those things so that user dont abuse it.

EG: I redeem a month code @ $7.90 but I sell it for $9.90 to other user. 8-)

@ Aira: And that is exactly why the price is the same. We aren't going to create a black market of people selling out for more profits or even scamming others due to this.

@RickyFS But it wouldnt...they wouldnt really profit...the user could just cash out the $10.... well $20 (cause of the limit) so really they would gain more profit that way, cause if they are underselling the FS vouchers they themselves are losing money.... since they could just cash out the actual sum of money anyway

A user saves $20 with fileserve he can A buy 2 1 month vouchers at $9.99 or take out $20 and buy 2 1 month vouchers in the end it's the same

however if you were to sell them at say $8 if you use your "earning money" which you gained from FS from downloads then the user could re sell them at $9.50 but he would still end up with less money than if he cashed it out....

Regardless FS will go down $20 and the user will go 20$ up but this would keep the money in the company which would essentially make it "free money" you give to people
Cause the person may not choose to put the money back into fileserve and put it into something else.

Not sure if I am explaining this 100% right but try to understand XD

They wouldn't be underselling. If a user created voucher at 8.99, they could sell it for 9.90 and make a 91 cents profit and the buyer would be saving the 10 cents while we would be losing the a total of 9.99 - 8.99 = 1 dollar.

I don't see how your math worked out, but I see mine working :)

If people have made the money they deserve to have it, and if they want to spend it elsewhere they're happy to.

I don't go down to the local tennis club, beg for a 10% discount to then sell it at a 5% discount to a friend. Gain for me, loss for the club as they could have charged him the full price.

RickyFS, can you please explain this to me:

my download counts for yesterday totaled 815 according to the stats shown in Filemanager when I added them all up:

d9900e3f.png

You can use your calculator to be sure.

A new day has come and my download count in the http://fileserve.com/partner-statistics.php page shows otherwise:

[SLIDE]http://lulzimg.com/i6/d7099af2.png[/SLIDE]

my files were just uploaded by me early in the morning yesterday (NYC/fileserve time) which means the download counts in the first picture were all from yesterday and of course some from early these wee hours. how come in the partner statistics page i got only 532 downloads when in reality i got 815 downloads? please tell me fileserve is not cheating and as far as i am concerned your stats are correct, quoting Fileserve news:

Dear FileServe users,

We have received emails from users that say their earnings (the sum at the top of the page) are now $1.00 or $0.00. We are looking into this problem, but we want to assure you, that statistics are correct and you should rely on the ones inside "My Earnings" and "My Statistics". We are working to solve this "display issue".

Your earnings DID NOT disappear. All earnings are accounted for, it's purely a display issue that we are working to solve.

Thanks for your understanding.

Regards,
FileServe

If a user created voucher at 8.99, they could sell it for 9.90 and make a 91 cents profit and the buyer would be saving the 10 cents while we would be losing the a total of 9.99 - 8.99 = 1 dollar.

That is true but I was looking at it more on the side of if they chose to buy it for less it would benefit you as it keeps the money in the company.

I wanted it too be a bit cheaper for the reason, I'd like to run small contests with users so if I got it a bit cheaper it benefits me a little :)

Another idea is, what if you let them buy the code at a slightly cheaper rate, but it was only usable on their own account, so you're not really given a code just more added to your account and only money from what they have earned could be used.

@ pisoj1: You can become a reseller and you will get greater percentages. That way you make money and we make money. For more http://resellers.fileserve.com

@ techdaemon: That's quite common and doesn't have anything to do with the display issue:

File Manager => Non-unique downloads incl. failed, attempts, completes + premium

Stats report => Unique downloads from unique files and IP of free users. Premium users will only be counted for 1 in this stats report no matter how many downloads they do from you.

As said all stats are correct..the 1 and 0 dollar issue is still getting worked on.

@techdaemon: I asked the same to the support and they gave the same answer as RickyFS...Anyway *someone* could suspect here - I want to make clear that I fully trust Fileserve- As the FAQ says:

Q. If an anonymous user downloads six files from my account. What is the total download I will get?
A: We will count 6 downloads. For each file, we only count 1 download for each unique IP in 24 hours. In this case, an anonymous (unique IP) downloads 6 files from your account in 24 hours, so that anonymous IP is unique for each file.
However, in this pics that I took on monday, it is weird that I had 17 downloads in 'All files'

2rnehdg.jpg

and that I had only 5 downloads in 'Statistics'

9krtb4.jpg

Maybe in 'All files' are counted all the files that are being downloaded and haven't been completed because it's strange that if I post a file that is divided in 3 parts, people download only some of them.

EDIT: Now that I see, the average of download per file is 4.25 which is near the 5 downloads...@RickyFS: Are you sure you are counting each download of different files as it says in the FAQ? Or are you counting 1 download max from each IP per day?

Jeez...You think if we were going to cheat you we would display two numbers so obvious? We have considered to remove the numbers completely from the file manager since people have a hard time (or lack the maturity?) understanding the concept of unique and non-unique downloads. It is like when you setup an Adwords campaign...You get 1 million Impressions, but only 1000 click throughs. You think Google will start claiming for the 999,900 impressions? If they did you would declare bankruptcy immediately. Same concept. Understand it?
