Any of these keep files as private by default? I used to keep backups in hotfile.com but after couple of weeks I could find my files in Google!

opendrive look good but i hate this kind of site ( backup program , syncr desktop ). i prefer site with ftp upload or upload program .
stay a way from hotfile, they have black list and all can find your files and if you got 3 dmca because some one find your files or because of black list they will close your account.
i'm testing filefactory and new MU.
i believe hard find alternative to RS.

Yeah, exactly. I would pay good if I could find a reliable backup storage which offer FTP.

OpenDrive is good but I think it's a bit impossible that they offer unlimited space for only 9.99 USD/month, moreover upload speed is ridiculous (200 kb\s) from NL RDP, in this way it's impossible backup a large amount of data.

Yeah, even their home page is slow :) , I really feel the lackge of reliable yet usable backup service :ff:

Yes, it's very difficult find a service with unlimited storage and good price :(

In my opinion also filefactory is a waste of time, I used it for 6 months (as premium user), 6 TB on my account but when I tried to download...surprise...3 TB were in servers under repair and they said me that I have to reupload again

@broadcast: check your pm ;)

Completly agree!

SlingFile apears to be my best bet

- Unlimited storge
- Files stay forever
- Upload files up to 50GB
- 30, 90, and 180 day premium plans (You can pay via Paypal only for the 30 day)
- Remote Upload, FTP
- Decent file manager

Im looking at hotfiles website and i cant see any mention of unlimited Storage or unlimited bandwith????

all i see if unlimited downloads?

can anyone point me in the right direction?

Edit :
also slingfile looks good, but for free users downloading your files it might be a no go, as i was presented with porn (live jasmin) pop ups when clicking on the upload i tested

From slingfile FAQ:

Q. Is there any limitation on the available disk space for each user?
No, SlingFile has not set any limitation on the available disk space for its users and partners. However, we reserve the right to limit the available disk space for the partners whose files require extensive disk space and are not popular at the same time (I.e., the files that are not downloaded often). In such a scenario, we may set the following limitations for maximum available disk space per user: up to 500 GB for Premium account owners and from 100 to 250 GB for free account owners.
Does it mean that they can limit space to 500GB ?
If yes, SlingFile isn't good options for personal backup.

from Filefactory:

Hello! Before I buy premium I have 2 questions. I need secure storage with unlimited traffic to save my personal files for long time. I never share my links, and I'd like to buy an account for long time.

What is time storage limit you have for not-downloaded files (for premium users)? And what is storage space limit?

Thanks.

Thanks for your email.

Unfortunately we will no longer be offering unlimited storage in the near future.

Kind regards,
