Hello,

Today at midnight GMT our billing systems were breached due to a flaw recently released by WHMCS, This let the intruder / Hacker wipe all databases, Everyone's service will be resumed, This is something we could not prevent we also have WHMCS checking all logs and points of entry our services are very tight so this is down to WHMCS or a serious die hard moron, I deeply apologise for this as this is a massive inconvenience not only to yourselves but to us also after the recent rapidspeeds issue, We are not like them We are not leaving We will have you back on-line as fast as possible i would really appreciate it if all those clients, not numbers friends, clients and many others would stand by us on this issue and allow us atleast 6 hours to rectify the wrong doing by such idiotic people, If anyone is mad or want's to rant at me then please PM it to me or grab me on Skype (rickie.murphy3) please do not flood this thread let everyone have a chance to read my post here and actually see the real issue.

Also, To any other hosts reading this, Please make sure you take backup's in 5 - 10 minute intervals until WHMCS has a proper fix for this bug.

I'm not sure. but i applied the patch when i woke up on the 1st December.
The new one that is. the 4.x one was already applied. They got access i have a edited admin directory. and password protected directory they still got access.

what logs? i looked at admin log it has an IP from Jordan.

I looked at activity logs he made a new administrator looked admin.
 
Mine seems to be back online, but clearly the configuration I was working on all day is gone.. please say it isnt so... that was a lot of work...
 
i have a new and empty vps ... i wont get another backup from leaseweb cause i delete everything there before moving to boxslots and now all my data its erase... what the hell its this ....

Due to this ^ Everyone's data is wiped, nothing left. There's nothing we can do about it, we are sending out new VPS's for everybody that was affected at this time. Please bare with us, I know all of you are angry & are wanting to kill us. There's nothing more that I can say. You guy's lost your data, I lost my 6 months of hard work & determination to keep everything alive, this passed 5 days I been on 18+ hours trying to cope with everything & I thought this was our final hit. We are not going to run away from something like this, we're just going to keep pushing on. If you want to leave, I understand :(

You guys almost lost all your data not even a week ago with Rapidspeeds. If it didn't taught you a lesson to backup, then there's nothing left to say. You shouldn't depend only on one company. Make backups on your local machines, offsite, whatever. The more important the data is, the more backups of it you should have.

As for BoxSlots I am very sorry for what happened. Support seem to be excellent here, you didn't keep us in dark for very long and you are trying your best to get everyone online. I appreciate that. So far I don't have reason to leave you, unless more downtime happens or network speed decreases :) Good luck!

and to boxslots, this is sad to hear anyone know how they are getting in and what needs to be done so this does not happen to other hosts? I am assuming its whmcs, but what is the question.
 
i cant download backups to my pc cause my current internet its like a 10kbps download anyway ill try my last card i'll upload my db to filesonic yesterday
 
I got multiple accounts with Boxslots from Shared Hosting to VPS...and I come home from a long days work to find all my websites and data gone..

I'm angry as shit, but I've spoken to Rick before and he took care of me and gave me a good deal when I signed up.

I'm in a tough spot, but because of your honesty and Boxslot staff being empathetic to my situation in the tickets, I'm still on your side..

lucky me I have my own backup daily. and my site still working on another vps

I hope you giving us bonus for recovery account, 1 full month...
