well just 1 advice smith..:)

i am 18 year old now..nd my weight is only 52..:( nd height is about 5'7
the main prob is am too slim..:((
i have joined gym 2 weeks ago..!!
i want to gain some wieght,..!! am totally concentrating on my diet..!!
did exercise daily too..
can u give me some advice to gain some weight i want to make body too..;p
can i tell my diet which was given from gym...!!

you can try creatine suppliments for increasing proteins and body building,
For weight gain and higher calory intake take more carbohydrate diet

my back muscles are very weak, sometimes i gave pain in the morning and im taking treatment for that. i want to know

what exercise can i do to strengthen my back muscles and exercise that i can do for other parts of my body that does not affect my back.

i also want to gain quite a few kgs

There is some researches that doing legs and shoulders in same day is not good because of some nerv's that are conected and my cause some serious injury,and also beginer or not for legs need to be exercise alone because trening for legs is too hard and you spend much energy on them and when you grab weight you fall on ground.

If you want to do it do it right from the begining.

Smit sory it's your thread if you want i will edit post i just want to point on posible problem.

Everything is connected in one way or another. Yes it would be good to do legs alone because they require a lot of energy and so on but it's nothing you need to worry about. Some people do Legs and Back in same day, depends how you look at it and how your plan works.

Yeah sure, well to be honest I never had problems with pimples in my teens, a lot of my mates used ton of creams and so on. What you should do is basic: do not touch face with dirty hands and pay attention on hygiene. You should visit doctor and see some "face clean" creams or something.

Does Hormonal Imbalance Weight Gain :(..

I weigh around 110+ Kg's.. I have joined a Gym, for almost 2months i have shed some 4-5 odd kilos .. I do 1 hr Cardio (20Mins Cycling, 20Mins Walking, 20Mins Stepper) .. And also some tips to shed more weight in coming time =)

I had read in a article that hormone imbalance is also a reason for Weight Gain Quickly..

The Website said, Take 50mg of zinc(2Times) and 2mg of copper per day. This will convert all the Useless Estrogen into Testosterone..

Do u think i have this prob and should i get tested ..

Yes well that is a huge problem today. Because lot of people don't understand that all those McDonald's and bullshit is not all meat, most of it soy. Now, soy is protein rich but it's also very dangerous because it will lead to increased estrogen. Then hormone imbalance will take it's place and you will start to gain ton of fat.

So I repeat this again and again, stay away from McDonald's, pizza, coca cola and other type of bullshit. Why don't you see so many for example fat Japanese people? Because they mostly eat rice, pasta and not soy = no estrogen = no fat.

Just cut out bad food, more water, more smaller meals and continue with cardio. You are on the right path, keep it up.

Well, I can do more than 8lb but I cannot go beyond 20 then (with pressure). So maybe 8lb is fine for me lol

I do not goto gym and can't make myself go due to studies, college, etc. so I bought a gym set which has 4-5 sets of dumbbells. 1KG, 2KG, 4KG, 8KG and then those big rod dumbbells which you lift from both hands (like weight lifting) etc.

I cannot consume Egg too as I'm brahmin and my caste doesn't allow me to eat it :(
But I drink milk milk everyday (about 1 glass).


Yeah triceps - biceps, whichever is good, I'd like to build it.

I started pushups but I cannot do more than 5 (why ? coz my strength is less and my body weight is more - 80kg)
So to increase strength I started dumbbells and I can do at the most 7 pushups now. I have sets of dumbbell (1KG, 2KG, 4KG, 8KG) I'm at 4KG currently and doing about 60-80 per day. If I to 8KG I cannot cross 15 (tried it xD)

I have a small toned triceps and small toned biceps, but its too negligible due to the enormous chest & stomach of mine. So thats why I wanted them bulging so that my body becomes in shape.

1 glass of milk won't help mate that much mate, but again don't drink too much as milk has its bad side too.

So you are veg and can't eat eggs too? Damn, that's pretty challenging mate.

If you can't do regular push ups, start with so called knee push ups.

Once you master knee push ups, go with regular ones

Doing push ups and chin ups will increase arm, back and shoulder size. You can start with cardio too to burn fat so everything will be balanced.

Hey Smith, first of all this is a great thread I was looking for some one for a advice.

So I am around 18, 5'11 my weight is 92 Kgs. I know that's about 22 Kgs extra, although heavy bones are my family tendency.

I workout daily about a month now (pushups 2 sets of 20 ,some weight lifting 15kgs - 30 Kgs,and some yoga).

Although I m not sure about how much cardio I should be doing for starters as due to some previous injuries i was a patient of Slip Disc.. (Fully recovered now), so would 2 - 3 kms thrice a week would be enough ?.

Also I know I could still gain some height if I could cut on weight and workout.So I would like to know what kind of Diet I should follow ? and do you think I m right about the height gaining part ?

I drink a lot of water but i would like to know would drinking cold water or eating cold food ( i mean like out of refrigerator), would increase my tummy ? as i have herd a lot of people saying so.

2 sets of 20 push ups hmm, increase that to 4 or 5 sets of push ups. 2-3 km 3 times per week is really good for start. Then once body got used to it, increase to maybe 3-4km and so on. I would cut out the yoga, nothing against it I just think it's waste of time for now. You can go with yoga to reach that extra edge and balance in the body after you get desired body.

And water is water mate, don't think about it so much, just make sure you drink it enough.

I recently started doing pushups , sit ups, etc. Can do about 20-30 max.
Been doing it for 3-4 weeks, i see little change on my biceps, is that normal?

Yes that's normal. Don't stop now, once biceps and triceps get bigger you will get stronger so then you will be able to do 30-50 and so on..

For chest, at home, simple, do push ups. As for wrists they are a problem for many people (same like calves) but with hard work you can increase their size. I wouldn't do any special exercises for wrists yet, just do best stuff such as push ups, chin ups and wrists will catch up, if that does not happen then you can start doing extra wrist workouts.

Hmmm you don't want to mess with back. What kind of pain? Where exactly? Are you sitting in front of a computer lot? It could be scoliosis or any other back dysfunctions. More information would be good so I could tell you what you should do to get rid of pain.

Your back is imbalanced most probably. And just exercising, without knowing what's happening back there can make it even worse.

Fruits and vegetables are very healtly, lot of vitamins, minerals and so on.. so don't ever drop veggies or fruit.

Zinc is fine, I don't use it tho.

How old are you? If you are under 25 height might increase yes, most people think working out in gym will stun your growth but that is a 110% bullshit.

Protein is most important, if there is no protein in your diet you can eat as much carbs and fat you want, you won't get quality mass.

Read my previous posts for good protein sources.

Is it normal to pee blood after I work out once a month?

Not normal at all. Unless you use AAS (steroids) and I talk about some hardcore cycles, then yes, you might pee blood.

Visit doctor as soon you can.

Well to be honest, I know what you aim at and I think most fruit these days is, damn how do you say it in English.. not poisoned but they throw so much stuff that kills bugs (while it grows). So if it's huge ass shiny apple, trust me, it's not good.

But we cannot really choose these days so it won't kill you but stay away from "too good looking" fruits and vegetables.

If it has hole from worm, it's not bad, it's actually good. I don't know how to explain it well in English but I hope you get my point.

What should i do? I heard that if i do running in the morning, i could reduce the belly? is it right? or should i use any fat burner or something like that, kindly name it here if i should use.

You are correct Arthur. I talked many times in this thread how cardio in the morning is very important. As for abs well that's right, once your bodyfat gets higher, abs get covered with fat (you don't "lose" and "get" abs), you burn fat and abs visible again, yay mission complete.

Okay, many fat burning supplements are alright if you have money to spend. But ton of people don't really pay attention in diet, which is the most important part.

Like one guy I seen in the gym, drinking fat burning supplement and then coca cola after workout :facepalm:

What kind of mass? Quality mass (muscles) or just weight with some muscle?

Quality weight takes much longer to get simply because you try not to gain any fat and you can't really build 5kg of muscles in 1 month alone naturally.

So let's assume you talk about weight in general. Good thing about it is that you can pig out with carbs, no need to count, just eat as much you can.

As many smaller meals throughout the day as possible is best option. Don't go with 2 or 3 huge ass meals, point is to speed up metabolism.

So good example would be 4+ meals. Eat on every 2,3 hours.

Every meal should have fair share of protein food and carb food. So you don't mix eggs with chicken for example.

So you mix, 1 protein with 1 carb type food:
eggs (with cheese - optional) with oatmeal or fish with potatoes and so on.

I wrote ton protein, carb and fat sources few posts back so please read them and mix them, again google is your friend.

Now, if you are busy guy like me, you can't really have all 6,7 meals (I usually eat that much) protein shakes are awesome option/meal replacement. Yes they are not cheap but they help.

Best way to build good upper body in general is to do 2 simple exercises, yes, 2 only.

No need to play around with bicep curls or some smaller exercises, go with big ones.

Bench press and Deadlifting. Simple as that. Why? Because those 2 exercises (with squats) require so many muscles to be included and again they lead to increases testosterone productivity so why not go with basic, simple and best exercises?

Done improperly, can pretty much mess you or even kill you.

Worst that can happen is when a beginner start doing all those smaller exercises and then end up with unbalanced sides and so on, so stick with the basic exercises.

I could but that wouldn't help you mate or anyone in here.

I train 4-5 times per week with 6,7 meals and again I'm in this game much longer so using my plan will lead to overtrain that's for sure. You need to start with basic stuff and then as you go on, stress your body more and more.

Also never use exercise you see those other pro bodybuilders do, because again, you will only over train.

My diet and workout regiment change every month as you always have to challenge your body in order to grow, because it adopts, you don't want to allow that ;)
