Android all the way...Ease of customizing the UI. Freedom of changing anything you want. and 4g...unlike the iphone. Blackberry phones are great for emailing and business ethics but Android has an app for everything lol.

Android is buggy and laggy on the other hand iOS is Smooth and bug-free. Even the iPhone 4 having a single core can play most of the games smoothly.
I would always recommend iPhone over Android but if you are fan of Android then it's better to get a Nexus device as they run on Stock Android(without adulteration) giving best performance. Also you get the latest update of Android as soon as Google releases it.

I have always found that Apple being a bit more simple to use than the other OS's. Android always seemed buggy to me... but idk.
