2015 Is The Worst Yr For File Host

This is the worst yr for file host ever you do not have 10 really good file host that give 2gb+ file size and 1.5mbps+ download for registered users. Average life span this yr for a decent to great file host in 4 or 5 months. I have never been this limit on finding a good file host for uploading 2gb to 4gb videos :faceplam: Before I always had like 5 to 8 file host to chose from right I only know of 1 Mega does not count to be only 50gb storage. By the end of the yr these 3 file host will be dead

Fileuniverse I sent them a support ticket 10 days ago still no response max file size for registered users is not 5gb any more it is 2gb and also only 2gb download a day sucks

Geupload 2nd time in 10 weeks and that uploading is not working and admin is MIA I use to see him on Skype once a week I have not seem him in 8 to 10 weeks

Nowdownload last 8 months or so 5 uploads max a day never seen any other file host do this this host will not be dead any time soon

10shared FTP has not been working for like a 1 yr that is the only way to upload files bigger than 2gb admin does not been responding to support tickets it will not be dead any time soon

People think they can setup a file host with one server for $50 a month and will not take that much effort to run they are so wrong they need to read up on what it takes to run a file host. The first month to setup a file host and hosting will cost $5k to $8k and then hosting a month $1k to $2k
I am not going to switch to Rapidgator or Keep2share they suck so bad I would rather stab myself in the arm with a knife than switch.

Best file host for me is Uploadbox.co Uptobox I am blocked I am in the US Mega 50gb storage is way to low Hugefiles deletes file in 10 to 12 day they must only have like 60tb to 80tb of hd storage. I would buy a server with 5tb to 10tb and 10gbps connection if I had the money.

These hosts aren't really compareable to MEGA. Yes, you can run a filehost off one 50$ server, I have done it.
You can upgrade your MEGA account to 500GB for $10 a month. The problem starts with the freeloading asshats who expect 56744 Petabytes of free RAID 50 SSD storage that is transferred to their basement and connected to them via a 10Gbit lan-cable (PoE Switch included obviously).

Pay for premium accounts, there is no need to bitch about how hosts suck, ofcourse they don't want to lose money and will make they free version suck.. I mean not only are they giving you a free service, they are also PAYING you guys for using it.

You can not run file host off of one $50 2tb and 1gb connection its not going to cut it you have 2k registered users

Back to the main topic 2015 sucks for file host
 
800 Members, 5k daily onsite downloads, 2k daily offsite downloads.. My $25 server handleded that just fine.

Ontopic: read my reply above.. Don't expect to have a good service if you don't support the hosts.

1) JDownloader: Download without ever visiting the site = 0 ad revenue.
2) Adblock: 0 ad revenue

Do you want a reliable service? Use one that doesn't pay users for downloads.
 
You guys say that MEGA only gives 50 GB space, that's no problem. The problem imo is the limited bandwidth. How do you guys cope with that?

If I upload a 4 GB file and it gets downloaded 3 times my account does not have anymore bandwidth for other users.
 
Another one of the file host I use looks to be dead this makes the 3rd file host I can not use in 2 weeks the other 2 admin have not fixed problems with the site :faceplam: If you do not have the time or money to run a file host do not even try it
 
Don't know, but it was my fav host ever. They paid my private college and my car, really really big money in my country. If they are back in business, maybe will start again.

Extabit was one of the best in rebills and sales


No matter if they pay me or not
I will support this host that made me happy while he was alive entities that fall

but I will use again was sick of using other hosts that do not have sales or rebills

I just anonymously uploaded a small file to Extabit and downloaded it twice with no delays. Download speeds were 500kb/s. As a free user, that's pretty fast and probably would prevent anyone from buying an account.
