XP is always good since it has been years already. And now Windows 7 is new so it will take some more years for it to become stable!

However I would go for Windows 7..

Before Win7 I love XP. Bcoz Vista sucked alot. But then I bought a new PC for gaming and installed Windows 7 and it was much better than Vista but also XP. The looks are much better, faster loading times and good for gaming.

For me Windows 7 FTW. :D
