XP was great for its time, but 7 is the best modern Windows OS. The functionality, stability, and customization is better than any of the others. I hear 10 may be moving to a subscription based model, and if that's the case I won't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Windows 7 of course, even microsoft knows it and thats why they brought back the start menu in win 10. Microsoft can bring fast boot to win 7 with a simple service pack but it doesn't because they want to sell new windowses and make money (and of course they should !).
