How do you not have Google+ on the list. Nobody else has such cool features as Google Hangouts and it's so easy to block idiots.

i prefer windows live messenger but i got to admin i don't like its 2011 version interface 2010 2009 one was better

MSN (Old Version until they force update on us. )
Yahoo! - Latest, Has Facebook Chat...Waits for a newer version of it...
Skype - Will always update to the latest hoping it will solve the high memory usage, but apparently never gets fixed.

Skype and Facebook partners.
Facebook and Yahoo! partners.
Adds Skype to Yahoo! with their Voice and Video Chat with your friends unless you can already do that...No clue, be neat...including if Skype basically becomes Yahoo! as it's not resource intensive.

Microsoft is partners with Yahoo! (Advertising, I think)
Microsoft bought Skype...so sounds like an interesting Monopoly game going around here.

use to use pidgin. but kept having problems with it. so i just stick with MSN now. but sometimes use pidgin still
