What happend to the good old uploaders ?

Hello

I would to discuss with you about this important issue we are currently having, we all know uploaders are meant to upload, not LEECH, 90 % of the uploaders nowadays are just leeching ! i just removed 3 uploaders from my site :'(, i saw other sites info in there uploads, regardless to the fact they are just uploading for the money, this is really low for warez, i don't about your thoughts guys, but this is my point of view .

I also use torrents, and I generate screenshots using ffmpeg/mediaplayer classic on my Seedboxes.

Then again I own my own site.. and I don't pay uploaders SH*T
 
It's not just uploaders, it's webmasters and coders too.

Warez used to be a lot more exclusive. It was a lot harder to set up a site and then generate traffic. You had to build up a community for which you could get uploaders to upload for you.
Now you can just install a forum in 3 minutes and start submitting to DDL sites like Katz gaining instant traffic. Making these forums easier to install has brought a lot more warez sites as has programs like Sharpleech. Even installing modifications and skins is a lot easier. Now you just download and import and it requires no coding knowledge whatsoever.

Uploaders used to upload for the community and respect. Now they upload for money. The uploaders used to have to download the programs to their computer, unzip, scan them and then upload them. The only way they could make screenshots was if they tested the application or played the movie. This led to better quality posts too. It's hard to expect people to do this now when others can make such easy money from file-hosts.

People who remember the old days generally look back at them thinking it was better then, however it is better now for the average guy as it's easier to find and download what your looking for. As things get easier they become a lot less exclusive. You can't please everyone.

I 110% agree with you.
Such little effort put into it these day.
 
People who upload for money should kill themselves. You aren't going to make enough profit and you're the lowest scumbag in the warez world.

Remote uploading is fine by me but don't do it for the money FFS.
 
There aren't many uploaders thar are only uploading for one site :|

I think that most uploaders tries to get uploader rank in many forums, then they use a forum poster and hopes that their posts get submitted to ddl because they have uploader status.

I know teh feelin', Im findin' it real hard to find REAL uploaders :(
I dont understand what teh problem is myself.

I manage to download, unzip, scan, test, re-zip with .url & .nfo and re-upload ...

Its not hard and dont take long.

I also leech my content from Private Trackers but are we all not goin' to leech from teh same Trackers liek people all leech from teh same forums ? =/
 
l0l K3V m there with ya :P well i don't understand why people criticize uploaders earning money coz why does a warez site is setup up for ? i think to earn money only from adspots or other things..i don't find any of the warez forum that is just meant for sharing if it would have been then uploders will also share there stuff for free btw u should blame Rs n Hf who started this paying stuff coz of which every kid started to think he is a uploader n can earn $$ :P .. i personley download from private trackers n then unrar n rar it that gets automatically scaned up n don't think i get any complains...might be sometimes the user is noob enough to download :P but i am not god so sometimes i can also be wrong n i accept it :P
 
I used to upload Music from my own collection.. I have 2TB of Mp3's (128kbps) That is a LOT of tracks.. I was mainly uploading separately tracks on requests. But i realized people don't appreciate the effort anymore, they are taking it for granted..

Well fuck you.. Now i upload a few movies per month, just to maintain the premium status on my RS account.
 
I honestly have no problem with uploaders earning some money from uploads to support the costs for their server/rdp (NOT for rapidleech, rs2rs, multiposters etc).

But as I said countless times before, it's when they make it their primary goal, all they want to do is make money.

And to the guy who said people only run forums to make money (sounds like a "2k9" uploader). Get your facts straight son, the new site owners yes, that is their goal. The older forum owners will tell you that they don't want ads on their site, the only reason they are there is to help alleviate the server costs.
 
i was talking about earning for supporting costs for server only :P n new uploder new forums only :P older forums n their gud admins are out of business now :P

yeah ur right on the fact of some of them has a primary goal n that's bad ;)

n yeah also u guessed it wrong i am uploading from 2k8 not 2k9...
 
This has been discussed many times before. And there is nothing you can/will do about it. That is just the evolution.
And sure I miss the old 'uploading' days too, but hey what are you going to do about it.

Just go with the flow. ;)
