Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any more information on Bolt.cd?
Hey all ... If anyone has been a long time member with Bolt would know this has happened many times in the past, whether Bolt has been hit hard or not it's nothing new to Bolt . Backups are in place, so it's just a matter of time until Bolt is back online again
I would imagine that if backups were in place then bolt should have been back up well before now. Seems to me that there is a lot more going on than we think.

I've been a member with Bolt for 6 years but in that time, this is the longest that I've ever seen the site down.
Hope Bolt will return
Yeah I think we all miss BOLT a lot. Don't know what happened but I do know that Meepz site is a whole lot better than some other places. I have been looking for alternatives to BOLT and most of them have their hand out first before you can sign up or the site is just filled with porn and not much else. Topics of discussion are almost non-existent for almost every site I have come across. There is even one site that has some of the features but again it is a pay first (as a donation) and then you get the goodies and the price is pretty high too. Make one appreciate just how special BOLD.cd really is.

A big thank you to the mods, and administrator that kept it going for years.It was very well run for many years. How they kept things running as long as they did, amazes me. A job well done. I wish you all the best for the future.

You must be looking in the wrong places, plenty of sites out there that haven't got their hand out.
No one will find another site just like bolt we all may be similar but never the same & not always to everyones liking, general discussion sections on a lot of forums have taken a huge dive over a long period of time..this is true! either everyone is uploading something or leeching with nothing in between. A forum any forum can only truly prosper if all members/staff etc are active on the board. It looks like we have lost bolt for whatever reason, how many more will we lose through tech probs or member inactivity? Now I don't know about you guys but I'm active on a number of forums (5) doing my little bit to try and help keep them alive.......A forum is only as good as it's members if there is no activity then the forum will wither & die!
Oldone3pp you are right about being part of the process. I have been looking, but then again not that hard and mostly for the tech side and discussion side BOLT had. One thing I have noticed is there are a lot of boards that were active and alive that are now going out with frightening regularity. Don't know if it is just a coincidence or there is something else afoot. In any event, kudos for the links and here is to the hope that BOLT will come back.

i have been reading what i think is undeserved praise of this meepz dood.i was a member of bolt since -08 or thereabouts....and there was a great deal of resentment 'tween members and mods....including meepz.
then last year for the 1st time i recieved a message from this meepz asking for a substantial donation....i gave it much consideration b/4 deciding to donate...weeks went by and no recognition was forthcomming from him or any other mod....so i flooded them with messages regarding thei promise and what reasons they have for ignoring me...i got a response saying that meepz has no recollection of any correspondence with me...so i sent them copies of his original message/my reply/my letters to and from paypal regarding the issue etc...finally i got a letter all apologetic , and correcting everything...then 4weeks or so ago i got another letter asking for another donation....thats when it hit me....the bright light flashing in my brain was telling me that meepz and crew were about to close shop and run....taking as much from the members as they possibly could....and they did....this didnt just suddenly happen with them....the reason it cant/wont be fixed is that you may well be able to repair databases and all the other tecky stuff....but ya cant repair the duuds that run the system.
i hope they rot in hell.

Yeah meepz always had major trust and communication issues and it's increasingly looking liked he has now stiffed the community.
Some good news! - Quite a few Bolt refuges are presently heading across to silentground.org.
Apparently it has opened it's doors to new registrations for a limited time (perhaps 2 weeks or so).
