From experience, I can tell you that registrations were closed to the public a day or 2 ago and invitations were needed to join.
Also I think their membership was much larger before they lost their database and also the creator of the site, and could likely swell quickly if If Bolt refuges find...
Yeah meepz always had major trust and communication issues and it's increasingly looking liked he has now stiffed the community.
Some good news! - Quite a few Bolt refuges are presently heading across to silentground.org.
Apparently it has opened it's doors to new registrations for a limited...
Bolt was an incredibly well organized forum and very user friendly (although it did require a little more effort on the part of uploaders).
For example there were at least 5 or 6 different sections for English movies alone, arranged dependent upon the quality of the source material and also...
There is a Bolt.cd facebook page that was setup sometime ago by a (most likely) well meaning member, but from the very beginning Admin disowned the page and has never used it for public updates etc.
In recent times the owner hasn't been actively seen on the site (at least publicly that is) and...
It's a bit early to be burying Bolt.cd just yet, don't you think?

As far as organization of content goes, I don't know of any site that compares with Bolt.
I also can't help with particularly zippy friendly...
