Hello!

As title say ,this board is not what it used to be 1-2 years back.
I mean this forum is now a home for spammers and hijackers , and not for the real people who want to discuss. Due to hijacking and spamming ,you can not get trusted informations from wjunction anymore.

Why i tell this:

-there are lot of peoples with multiple accounts, who hijacking threads (you should give more efforts to investigate the dupes)
-there are lot of spammers too
-if you ask something regarding website building or etc ,most likely you will not get any answer
-the affiliate section is full of scammers

Sorry to say ,but this forum is dead now and i missed the old times and the old members.

There has always been spammers, hijackers and peoples with multiple accounts here & at every other forum/blog etc:sigh:

People are only going to get out of the forum what they put in. If you see anything like what you mention then hit the report button simple as that:whistling:

This forum isn't home for spammers and hijackers.

We have multiple account detectors in place to find users that are using more than one account.
Every spammer we've come across has been banned, if you notice any, report them.
Members normally help if the question hasn't been asked before.
That's not exactly true, or they would all be banned.
 
Well for what's it worth there's a guy in vps and sections of the like who writes always verbatim promo post whenever someone asks for help or a quote. If that'stop not spam I do not know what is...

I agree if you make a thread in any section outside of the file host and web host section you will be lucky as hell to get 3 or more replies. I have also noticed over the last 4 to 6 month spammers have increased like 3 to 5 times I have reported a lot of them. This forum is so dead now you can get a fell if the forum will be really dead today by how many comment are in the chat box. Close the chat box nobody really uses it any more. Warez forums are dying so this forum is dying to most of the members here are into warez some how
 
The forum isn't as active as it used to be, there will always be ups and downs, but at least WJ is still around unlike other forums that closed down for a exactly what you're posting about.
 
I wasn't always here, but so far this forum has been great. It looks beautiful and the community is nice. I promoted my url shortened affiliate program.There are a lot of users who try to bot views. But other then that a lot of legitimate users also sign up. So it's good.This forum is good.

well as i know in my 7year career i never seen before any good webmaster forum any perfect discussion forum like wjunction.com

we all see ups & down in ever forums in every blogs but thats not mean that forums or blogs are not good am i right ?

Spammers & Hijackers evrywhere & what staff do staff always try to get that wrong person as wj staff did in recent time & still staff doing a great job.

i saw many great webmaster forums i see great warez sites i see many legal business site where peoples give them comments every where some little issues always.

so dont think forum is goood think how we can make it better how we can entertain our members how can impact on clients & some new users thats all we need to do.

hope you understand in my opinion Wj is much better then past this forum is amazing & very very popular in Asia .

Why not help in anyway you can instead of complaining? Try to do whatever you can in your capacity. If all the members who care start doing this, we will have the forum back to active status again.

Yes I do agree the activeness of the forum has reduced. We staff are working towards it :)
 
I do agree with the fact that the activeness of the forum has overall reduced but if you are a webmaster and are lurking around the internet it is not just only WJ many forums are dieing because of Bots/Auto Responders / Leechers as a ex-member of staff i know that the staff is only limited to a certain extent to get the board up and running.

For Example we introduced :


  • GFX - Sig contest ( Was Good first but then people lost interest)
  • Article Writing / HomePage ( To Promote your articles )
  • Chatbox Quiz Night ( No one came forward to promote their products as sponsors that easily / everything can't be given out of the "Admins pocket" right? )
  • The Debating Zone ( We tried to engage the users with it but gradually they left the enthusiasm for it)

So in the end the staff is not the sole runner of the forum. Yes Staff members are amongst the very lucky few selected regular members but its upto the members also to contribute with their knowledge and content to help a forum grow and be stable.

Spammers and Leechers are every where and I can assure you WJ does have the resources enabled to block them along with hard working staff but you got to realize various matters do come into play while blocking them like Staff's Timezone / vbulletin database load / Blocking plugins might not work at certain times. Heh anythin is possible right?

So in the end i would urge all of you to stop saying that the board is not like it was ages ago but lets try to say that "I would try my best to get the activeness back by playing my small part in the whole scenario' .

Which is not that hard believe me, just post out your knowledge, get your frds involved into it , try to help out users who would like to learn from your knowledge you would atleast see that the activeness has increased in your post so imagine if everyone tried to do that a particular section won't go low along with others as well.

I think the issue with this forum is that the reason why it's so dead nowadays is because not only has it gone through way too many makeovers, it has lost its taste for being the source of knowledge, whether it be for warez or simple website building. It's 2014 guys, if you're on here and you still don't know the basic ins and outs of a server, you need to really sit down and see if this is what you want to do as a hobby (or job). And along with that, many of the questions brought to the help section are very basic, or CBA questions that take way too long to investigate because people are busy and eventually when you do answer the question, the member has forgotten the issue.

You guys talk about spammers and hijackers, but when you keep saying the same excuse you've had for the past 2 years, that you've been saying to every other issue, I think that's when you guys have to realize that your answers are redundant (i.e. "All forums have X, we are doing our Y to resolve X. We have Z that already helps us with X, but as any forum, X will exist).

Now, remember the days when forums used to, I don't know, let me toss something outrageous out there, actually give a shit and toss your excuses out the window, find a more efficient solution, resolve/help with the problem, THEN answer the complaint? If you guys keep using the same mindset for all whiny members, in a couple months, you guys are going to wish you actually had a member who gave a enough of a flying rats ass to post a thread of some kind, despite the fact that they struggle to type proper English.

Conformity, smh. From one forum Administrator to another, Hawk, fix your fucking shit. I can't even get a hard on thinking about nostalgia from here because the bullshit that fogs my view. It seems that you guys are living life, and everyone understands that, but truth be fucking told that if you guys put 2-4 hours into actually tidying up the place, I bet those green stacks you guys see bi-weekly will double.

I'd write more but long posts suck, and even with stupid fucking blue bold, I still skipped past this entire thread. This isn't a long post, but to some, it is.

So, TL;DR - The reason why this forum feels like a 3 day old hooker that was shot to the head but for some strange reason, shit still has a shade of pink is because the passion is gone. And I don't blame you guys, god I'd bounce after the entire fucking melodramatic shit with stahplockerFiLEZ pls paypal bad!! then megaupload then kidpornz then whatever stupid shit you guys had coming to you because of your mundane choice of staff.

Merry Christmas WJ, but you make me sad every time I open up the forum every couple weeks, only to see that I can't even use you guys as a reliable source for web hosts anymore because of how shaky the Staff activity is. Stop riding the cow till it dies, and help the cow live a little, so that you can continue riding it for a few more years.

You stated "every time I open up the forum every couple weeks" so why dont you just LOG OUT and stay out.

The owners and staff here are doing what they can when they can, issues with whiney members/spammers and fake posters will always be the same. If you can't or don't understand that then maybe...you should just stay in your own lane.

That spirit, of letting the staff do their thing, it hasn't worked in the past year. That's why I'm replying the way I am. Don't speak for them, unless you're in contact with them. I waiting for a reply from them, not from some sudden posse group. People that just say "The staff are dealing with it" are not what WJ members exemplify. We've always been about constant updates on what's going on the background, and every couple months having some kind of thing saying "We did this, but are aware of this and we are fixing it" - and they actually would be! And don't bring what I manage into play here, it's completely different to what WJ is (and it's entirely non-profit). It's like comparing a fat person and the theory behind nuclear fission. I'm a kid in his first year Uni, working to pay off my shit, while in a low income household. These peeps who run this joint are grown men who if they don't have time to make changes, they gotta start thinking of something quick.

If I didn't care about WJ, I wouldn't be posting. I've learned a lot from here, and at one point, it was my home. I'd like to see changes, as other members would, and most of us have tried the "staff is working on it" approach and it's not happening.
