Please keep us updated. I am also waiting for their response. Just want my data back and continue the service, be it RS or LS.

Even if Leasweb wanted to help rapidspeeds customers recover there data to would take to much of there time.
Rapidspeeds have there own IP block assigned to customers, it would make it near impossible for Leaseweb to figure out who used what server & they would need to assign new IPs and would be very time consuming finding out who used the old one and there would be a big chance of someone getting access to someone elses data, so it wouldnt happen.
I would think this is even worse for VPS customers.
Maybe i'm wrong and Leaseweb can control the old IP block, but i doubt it.

I just spoke to LW Sales. No further information on RS/LW take-over.
They are not allowed to disclose any information on the matter. They weren't even able to confirm if RapidSpeeds is a current reseller for LeaseWeb hosting solutions.
All of this sounds like there is a legal process that is on going, therefor they aren't available to disclose information that could potentially harm their case against RS.
That's my theory.

Even i have some backups for my files there are aproximately 5000 files that i need to upload again on other servers and in this moment it seems impossible for me.., i don`t have any energy at all... i`m dissapointed but resigned in the same time...i already opened a dispute at paypal since yesterday because after i read all the posts here and on other forums, probably hundreds or even thousands of posts there is only a conclusion, leaseweb wants to give our servers back, but they can`t do that because rs probably don`t want to give up so easy and to lose money or don`t know... if lw didn`t want to involve in this matter they could said from the beggining that our servers will no longer be available in this life
but i think that they still hope that there is a possibility to recover their money and this is the only hope for us too ...
Probably the only solution for this Dareen guy (or what the hell is his name) to pay for what he has done is to hire 2-3 of my bulgarian neighbors to trace, torture and probably kill that bastard...

Edit: i`m probably the only one that i didn`t sleep in the last 2-3 days... Can someone recommend a new hosting similar with rs connection and specs ? which is the next rs ?

I have just spoken to Gavin, I think we should all slow this down a bit.
Gavin is the closest person to Darren, if someone knows what's going next to Darren then it will be Gavin.
Gavin told me that there actually was a dDoS attack. This still is the reason why the network went down. While they were attempting to rectify those attacks Leaseweb all of sudden suspended everything. Gavin said that this is also the reason why the problem was not resolved in the announced timeframe (12-18 hours).
He says that he does not know why exactly the network was suspended.
About the takeover he is not for sure and he says he cannot share any information about it yet. There is going to be another announcement later today.
For the rest he can't share any more details as he's not completely sure himself yet.
So conclusion, for now we can only complain about the huge lack of communication, that's all. There are no apocalyptic theories about 6 figure depts, legal wars, etc that have been proven to be correct yet.
