4 full days waiting for the server, and not a word from them whats going on ...

Seems that they have some serious problems, but nobody talking about it.
Hope everything will back to normal soon.

Mate Glenn has already mentioned that the servers are out of stock so its taking time.

The rapidspeeds website states servers are in stock, some with instant delivery.

If the website said setup time 7days then customers would be prepared to wait 7 days before they start complaining, but when instant setup is displayed and customers are waiting 5 days + you can understand why they are getting annoyed.
 
You all need to relax. Rapidspeeds has thousands of customers. They don't just monitor their sales thread in this forum. They have more in different forums. Also you need to give them a chance. They are currently going through a big change (merging with knowinservers). Just give them time. They are one of the best sellers here on wjunction.
 
Impossible to relax, 5 days waiting and losing money every day because of this delay,
but even worse than waiting is their non response to the support tickets,
they are not fair, you cant sell something you do not have,
but look on their site, - you will not find any 'out of stock' configurations,
people buying, they do not delivering,
I just don't know what to think and what to do ...
 
FFS. They are doing a lot of things right now. They probably havent got to updating their site yet. I dont think you know how BIG this merger is.
While merging they could just disable making new orders, or note that there will be longer delay than usual while delivering orders.
From my point of view, they tricking their customers.

Im not angry at them, just giving here some info what can you expect when ordering server from rapidspeeds.

I ordered a Dedicated for like ~200GBP because of all these High Vouches for them that i read on the first ~XX Pages.
I hope that i will get my Server soon enough to start working.
 
Maybe you will have more luck,
after 7 days of waiting I still have nothing,
today i requested cancellation, but Im aware that my money(250$) and server are lost.
They have far more worst support than any banned here server provider,
they collected some good reputation in the past and now behave like they want,

I really have a bad feeling about this, it said it will take 12 Hours to deliver it.
And now all these bad Comments about the Hosting Company.

Been idling in their IRC "Support" Channel for like ~15 Hours and noone from the Team showed up yet.

Thats all i need to hear.

If i dont get any new Informations about my Server in the next 24 Hours i will cancel my order and dispute the Money via Paypal in no time.

You have to wait longer than 48 hours before starting a Paypal dispute do you not think that's a bit extreme?

I understand its frustrating if they advertise setup within 12 hours but I am sure you will get your server you will probably just have to wait a bit longer.

They said in a support ticket to me they should be back to full form by Wednesday 14th September 2011 which is tomorrow.
 
I dont think that my reaction is "extreme".
If i read that it will take about 12 Hours and when it takes longer than that i want a clarification via an Email or via a Support Ticket.
In the IRC Channel are several Persons that say that there VPS is unresponsive since several Days and that there are no answers from anyone about that.

If you cant keep up the with the Purchases and the Support than you shoudnt accept any more.

I do agree but unfortunately this is how budget providers seem to work.
 
RapidSpeeds is increasing too fast - they just can't handle the pressure. As we all know, a server is everything but unpredictable. You cannot say what or when something might happen to someone. Vikas Saini is the reputed owner of RapidLeechHost.com and he has a lot of experience in servers and stuff. Its unfortunate what happened with him, but I am sure the RS staff might fix it as soon as possible.
 
Not a problem when unpredictable things happen, nothing is perfect, everyone is enough understanding,
problem is when customer is not informed about it and is waiting many days like crazy for service to work correctly, and trying to get explanation from support but nobody responding.
Be honest with your customers and everything will be just fine.

Regardless, communication is key. I'm not a customer at RapidSpeeds, but if I was and had an issue, I wouldn't mind it taking extra time as long as it was being effectively communicated to me. Instead of staying silent and not telling your clients anything, you should talk to them and continue to update them on the progress, on the delays, on everything. That way you won't leave them hanging around wondering whatever the hell happened.

I have also made a sales enquiry. Contacted them under contact us page, and also their sales email address. Got no response since 4 days ago. For the people who purchased without contacting them is quite silly. I've seen some here arguing that this isn't their main thread where they look at daily. Good point, but have you seen their own forum? There are people who are asking for help under help section and got no reply. If you look more closely, all the admins and mods are hardly active, their last activity dates back couple of months. This is certainly not good business. I'm sure it does not take long to update the site either! And they should be able to reply to every email within at least under 24 hours.
