Putlocker is now Firedrive!

I will add my bye bye to PutLocker. Was the best for free users.......No longer a warez file host. $30.00/month? What business customer would invest in FileDrive if it has the same support as what PutLocker had. Wait, Putlocker didn't have any support at all :( Edit: forgot the motivation behind PutLocker, now Filedrive takes Master Card and Visa. They don't have to deal with bitcoin.

yep, download speed is fine, same like putlocker 65 mbps, + multipart + resume :)

after a thorough review =>

1) they changed name from putlocker to firedrive (putlocker domain is blocked in few countries, especially few in india)
2) new attractive responsive design

everything is same like previous putlocker, these plans for just to get more money from downloaders, because they just added visa now (just bitcoin for more than 6 months, so i am sure they need money to pay bills), also these prices for premium is still cheap, because even in uploaded.net premium you get 50 to 80 mbps, but even as free user you get greater than 65 mbps in firedrive(PL).

Actually, at the current $8.99/ month is quite acceptable for me. I do hope they'll provide 3/6/12 months discounted price though.

Download stats for files would be really useful also.

not too much bad sides for the new layout guys yes their is no download fil button for the videos but still i can download embedded devoid with the best speed
 
I am totally gutted about the changes with putlocker/firedrive. Now all files I have uploaded will be quickly deleted. Putlocker had no limits like a lot of filehosts who delete links that are not viewed after a time. I am not going to be able to afford the premium rate to make my files last. I have a large amount of files on putlocker and I can no longer upload on the free account. Why should I pay to let other users view my files I just don't understand. This is a very sad day and the end of sharing files for an indeterminate time.

I have a sockshare account also but it is just not allowing me to upload anything. It keeps saying encoding failed. Is anyone else having problems with sockshare.com?
 
The thing is that if you have a really huge amount of files for share, chances are that you're also making a bucketload of money on it.

So it's about time that you've gotta pay more for the storage of those files in order to make more money from it.

It's evident that the good old days of unlimited storage is becoming something of the past. Those who do provide "unlimited" storage, requires that somebody downloads the files usually within 30-60 days.

PutLocket and sockshare are same owners. I see sockshare making changes like PutLocker did.

You know you only get 1TB for your 9 bucks/month. I don't see FileDrive being much of an attraction to warez files. Currently, most PL uploaders are free accounts and very few paid Pro at PutLocker. I can not pay $360.00 per year to have them host 3TB of files.

PutLocker actully did have support. I've got some mails with them and responses too. Most filehost just answer when it's about a Premium sale and other does it when the custumer has a problem. Putlocker answer on both subjects and also are pretty friendly if you ask me(not rude as like another one was). In the new firedrive, well Iv'e got one answer from them. Its better then nothing.
 
There is so much misinformation in this thread, its crazy! You can do EVERYTHING on firedrive as you did on putlocker. I didn't see any downloading limits on any file either.

Files on putlocker were deleted after 3 weeks of inactivity, I dont know what their current policy is, but I doubt its less. Chances are its probably a lot longer.

I agree if you pay $29.99 per month at FileDrive. Unlimited everything. Pro user, 1TB storage and you can no longer upload unless you upgrade to the $29.99/month So my PutLocker Pro to FileDrive Pro sucks for me :(
