The reason everyone is panicking is because, the prosecutors are mixing in the piracy-related offences with the hard-criminal offences which they WILL get a conviction with.

And then the entertainment industries will use this as a precedent saying that MegaUpload was a similar case since it involved similar related piracy-offences.

So the piracy-offences on their own won't stick, but couple it with some hardcore drug and money-laundering offences, and you get a solid case.
 
No offence, but if you'd read the indictment or even a summary of the indictment or even a single news article that reported on the megaupload arrests you would already know why they were arrested. :facepalm:

If your words are correct then arrest of Kim is not at all for file sharing. Then one question arises why all the hosts are running away from the business:O. Don't they know the real case as you quoted? Or there something more that FED's are hiding?

you'r right and the proof that the crimes of money laundering is a reservation on the property and money which is what happened with the car of the site owner
