216.146.46.11 www.libertyreserve.com was the main sites ip, the site doesn't exist on the server any more, but its not likely the server was seized as the ip has a webserver & not the usual gov. setup.

UPDATE :

It’s down but it’s site itself when checked is active. LR owner was been arrested due to a fraud that he’ site created. As you can see the name servers are been changed to
ns1.sinkhole.sh adowserver.org
ns2.sinkhole.sh adowserver.org

Shadow server is used by the US Governments to seize a website that has did an online fraud. Basically, Liberty reserve is based on Costa Rica and US can’t do anything because it’s out of their juridical, so they contacted Costa Rica police etc. to cooperate with this and give them permission to do immediate action on this problem. They have been watched by the US Government since 2011 and they took action now. About the explanation I got from an LR staff.

They will not close Okay? It’s not true that LR got hacked, they said they are just taking a break of what happened back there. LR will be back with a new and better. They will not CLOSE , your funds will stay there, no reduce no increase. It will just stay.

It's normal to comfort yourself if you had lots of money in there, really. But until it gets back, you are doing nothing but spreading unverified rumors.
 
Exactly, @ cvrle77. It's almost like everyone is hoping for Santa Claus to pop out from behind a bush in the summer time. Let's be sincere with one another. You're in denial. And yes, until there is an 'Official' announcement from LR, don't believe anything unverified or said by anyone else UN-related.
 
LR is already back OK.

And LR far better than PP. And talking about Admins in Jail.

Digitalpont's Admin = In Jail.
Dixpay's Admin = In Jail.
PinPay's Admins = In Jail.
Libertyreserve's Admin = In Jail.
Paypal's Admin = Still In Jail. (But earned 156Million because he sold his company to eBay)
Megaupload's Admin = Just got out.
WJ's Admin's = Sold WJ before they end-up in Jail. ;)

LibertyReserve will come back online, they use shadowserver.org as a DNS. Shadowserver has fights amplified ddos attacks, if you noticed shadowserver.org is offline from the same moment as a LibertyReserve, also liberty reserve has updated their DNS from ns1.shadowserver.org to ns1.sinkhole.shadowserver.org to protect their website from ddos.

So to let you know guys, those articles about the founder arrested for money loundering were just fake. First of all neither fbi,cia or any agency said anything about lr, also there is no newspaper that wrote about it like they did for mega-upload which was true.

He wasn't even in the United States when arrested, nor was he originally arrested for a crime commited in the US.

He was arrested because USA said so, and the domain has been seized by USA authority not costa ricaian or Spanyol authority

Back when he was living in New York he was charged on another Fraud that was linked to money laundering.

He then moved to costa rica and in 2005-2006 created liberty reserve which then he tried to do the same that he did back in 2001, but again he has been caught for his sorry excuse of being down low about his activities in the background.

How do you think he was even able to create liberty reserve? He was a one man team back in 06 then over time hired 20 people.

So yes the united states has the excuse to bud in to this.

Everybody here seems to always blame the US, but in the end the US does have to many rules. All the arrests that have made does have reason to them other then the few crazy reasons.

.com is also regulated in the United States. The guy is a fraudster who deserved to be caught anyway. LR was a terrible system.
