Why the f*** doesn't everyone use Linux? lol By the sound of it, it is 100% safe. I am liking that, now I know this, I think I am going to stick with Linux. Cheers Hyperz ;)

By the way, another noob question lol I don't understand anything at all to do with Linux, so I want to learn, and gonna start with this. The question is, how come people can hack Linux servers? Hack sites etc using Linux? Is that configured different to the desktop edition? Cheers upfront Hyperz (Linux Mastermind ;))

ugh.. 32 bit support in the near future? im running 32 bit pentium core 2 duo 2.4ghz x2 t6500 6gb ram ati radeon mobility hd 4k series.

can i run it or no

Because they don't hack Linux but programs that contain exploits. Those programs are the way in for hackers. And 99% of the time, when that happens it's because that software isn't uptodate. On a Linux desktop this problem is nearly non existent. You'd nearly have to invite the hacker in.

i will try this,im also a noob with Linux.. i just recently tried ubuntu and there is a major learning curve.. great work on this though Hyperz

The learning curve isn't what it seems at first glance. Some stuff does look pretty alien, I know. I've been there to. But trust me when I say this you get used to it very quickly. I learned most important stuff in just 2-3 weeks. Once you get over that you'll actually start to prefer it in some ways over Windows, or maybe completely :o. The best way to think about Linux is Windows done right, many things are the same as in Windows, some other details are not, but for a good reason (usually security).

Ah cheers Hypz, that actually makes sense lol Well I'm downloading it now, only got 40% to go now =)

I wouldn't get my hopes up for a 32 bit version tbh. I know it sucks if you can't use the 64 bit but for those very few people stuck on 32 bit I'd rather wait till those upgrade their PC so I can focus on 1 version.

i was messing around with PS again.. new boot screen idea?

Use it of ya like it

Cos i like playing with windows... or do you mean what???

Removed some stuff that my pc don't need, added some silent app installs to the iso, some reg tweaks etc...

To many to list, mainly menu stuff... go look at a site like "winCERT" or similar... there is mainy things there that will help you, including lists of tweaks, i think i posted a load for 7 back in jan/feb this year.

I like ddlshack's idea. Id offer hosting for the site if needed. I have a super secure shared that im not using. Also, hyperz i'm not stuck with the 32 i chose it cus i liked the laptop. I also have a amd64 on my desktop but im already using ubuntu/win7 and ive done alot with ubuntu so i dont want to switch it.

theres got to be a way to get it working in a 32 bit environment... If anything im sure we can get together a group or something to work on some kind of clone or conversion for a 32 bit console.

let me know if you want me to host the site if you choose to do it.

cheers
dotty

well dot offering hosting, if you go non forum (a website style) I could could it up. It would be a simple design just a good way to advertise the os. Maybe a comment box for suggestions and stuff.
