Is it Just Me?

For some people is hard - i speak myself; dutch, english, albanian, balcan languages (serbian,macedonian,bih - they're all the same) and turkish. Its not to hard for me but i don't speak them perfectly.

And before 4 years ago my english was so fucking terrible, people will start learning english here. The language doesn't matter really like elj1 said that wont make us noobs.
 
Sick topic to he honest. You should never expect each and everyone to speak 100% perfect English. WJ consists of people from different parts of the world, and all of them are as good in their native language as you're in English or whatever your native language is. So if someone from a non-english speaking country speaks english, then I would consider him better than someone who knows only English, as at least he's trying goddamnit. Try to be 100% perfect in 3-4 languages, you'll know, its not so easy.
My English may not be very good, its not my native language, but I'm trying, no?

Foreign members? I didn't know WJ was any country specific site. Its for the global user, man.
 
People need to seriously stop typing in sms language like "u", "r", "dey", "teh" etc.. You can excuse someone who actually doesn't know proper English because you can't expect everyone to know English but its hard to pardon those who deliberately speak in broken English and think its cool to do so. That's just lame and retarded.

why do we have to open our own webmaster forum we love to be here in wj and its not fare are you trying to kick everyone who doesn't speak or write good in english out of Wj?

He meant non-native English speaker by 'foreigners'. LOL, even he is not good with English, already he is creating misunderstanding by saying some diplomatic word in the midst.

Anyways, there is no rule that this forum is only for English people and shit, so if people do have some problem with their English language, then its not their fault because they weren't born with a Harvard or Oxford degree in hand. Its not their mother tongue perhaps.

Its almost like putting a blame on a human being that he can't fly and bullying him for it. Goddamn it, he got no wings!

I have noticed that even the natives speakers of English don't write proper English.

So just digest whatever crap you get in English, you choose to sit in WJ so suck it all up.

Well english isn't my native language too.But I'm always trying to get better.and yeah I use a FireFox dictionary when a world is highlighted I just correct it.
Also if anybody noticed it I use simple and short sentences not because I can't make long ones but it's just to not get confused and give the wrong idea other then the one that I'm trying to write.
As for why can't people write proper English is that they think and make sentences with their mother language and then try to translate it to english and that's not what it should be.You need to think of it in english from the beginning cause a lots of things differ from a language to another and it will just make it harder to "deliver" your ideas to other members.

You don't get it. Nobody forces you to be here.. there is a rule you must type english here. To be honest (no offense, just my experience) indians got this forum down quite a few levels with 10000 warez forums with crappy english and crappy themes. Not saying this goes for all of them, but the % is higher than with, say UK people.

Also your logic with flying humans doesn't work as nothing is forced (you're not forced to be at wj, neither forced to fly)
 
well, that wasn't harsh at all really. It was just some facts I put before you. Its just that its really not their fault if non-English speakers do the translation from their mother language to English. They got no other way other than either doing the translation from Google or their minds.

As I said, you choose to sit around and confront people, so the consequences should not matter.
 
Well It's not really that, but some people just dont finish typing out their words/letters. Just gotta give them a chance and be patient. After awhile I'm sure they'll get the flow. :)

I didn't talk about 'force'. It is clear that we all live in a free world with freedom. If one person forces another, turns out to be quite a dumb move because it doesn't work (by experience).

And my logic has got nothing to do with 'force' as you stated above. I meant saying that picking on people or bragging about this topic ...... i mean what's the point?

Its pretty simple that you clearly are dumbfounded by bunch of more smarter people, mind you, but smarter people with low English skills.

This is a Webmasters forum, mainly targeting the warez niche , and there is no rule that only English speaking people can start a Warez site or be a member of a webmaster forum.

I am sure that all the members are aware of the fact that ,English is the only Language of communication here, and thats what you can see. All the threads/posts here are in English . I never said proper English ..but they are following the rule. If WJ admins wanted only English people in here, they would have restricted the citizens of Non English Countries, by blocking the respective countries .

There's no point in just creating threads without suggesting a proper solution.
If you want to improve the English of your fellow members at Wjunction, you may want to start an Online English Coaching Class . and oh btw no one is stopping you to create a webmasters forum that can only be accessed by English people .

No I understand people try to learn new things, however I am saying if you don't know English at all and continuously speak your language or use really bad gamer to the point where it is unreadable then I would say get the boot. I honestly have no issue with you lightning. You type just fine and it is readable, although it could use some comma's and periods none the less it is fine. It was reference to people who write like this

or using a translator 100% of the time where it comes out as the same result as my example, really messed up. You can not read it and there is no attempt in learning at all.

And I don't write long replies. Long is length which an opinion. >_>
 
i mean with long like proper understandable english like you and Mr Happy and el_j write i wish i can write like you guys but unfortunately i cant.
For me right now its to late to go to school and start to learn english,
but i hope on my next life i be better in english

My english isn't close to perfect (english is not my first language, my 3rd actually). However you don't see me going to a german webmasters board and ruin all the topics there with my crappy german! (german was taken as example here). If you can't speak english go to a webmaster board where they speak your language, simple!

@ lightning at least your sentences make sense, I've seen topics here where it's impossible to even understand 1 word of what people are saying

I can't help but saying this that you are completely gotten off the line and your claims and statements don't synchronize with mine. So stop quoting my reply.

And this German example you stuffed in between, open your mind towards the fact that this is open forum. You can't do anything about it, well, if you want to whine about it for the rest of the day, be my guest.

This is indeed an open forum, an open ENGLISH forum.
I don't feel like whining at all, it's just annoying to decode half the messages on wj ;)
