Hello guys,

I was wondering how I can analyze or scan if my website has any bad backlinks or penalize backlinks pointing to it, is there a way to do this? I heard that in webmaster tools you can tell Google what links to ignore with the "Disavow links" tool there but, it is only for the ones you know there are bad, how do you detect the bad links??

Register for google webmaster tools. That is best you can do for your website. There is many useful reports. One of them is also report with broken and spammy links.

Hi,
Check out those sites from where you get backlinks:

  • Make sure that the back linking site is your site related or not.
  • Check out site PR.
  • Check out site domain authority.
  • Check out site external link. If it is high then it is bad backlink.
  • Make sure that site content is duplicate or not.
