I was using their RDP from the beginning and was totally satisfied. Hostdzire has a great support. From my past experience with them I just grabbed their Dedicated promo offer. And the process was superfast. Just love this host :)

I have to say I wholeheartedly vouch for these guys.

The Dedi I have with them is a steal for its price and and a rock solid server at that. Getting true 1Gbps speed is no laughing matter, nor is TBs worth of storage.

Similarly, FTP to and from the Dedi easily and consistently maxes out my home connection. Hasn't happened with some RDP providers.

And even though I had some initial worries about encoding after some preliminary tests, it's a very good encoding server if you know what you're doing and aren't a total n00b.

Support is the fastest I've had pleasure to experience. For a (beginner) Dedi client, some providers might not even reply back or, at worst, remind rudely that they ain't supposed to help - but not these guys.

While they do have their hands tied with rules, I nonetheless appreciated whatever suggestions, both general or short, they could give for some problems I had.

All in all, an excellent server provider with what's indeed a first-rate DC. And money extremely well spent.

Thanks for having me! :) :sun: :handshake:

So,
as i had promised, here my first experiences with host dzire.

i've orded one of the very cheap servers.
So far so good.
I've contaced them to ask a few things - without any special urgency. (e.g. prices for extra IPs and newer OS-version than the one choosable)
They have replied within some hours (i think it was bout 6 - or so) and provided the necessary informations.
After some more questions, i've ordered (more or less - i just said: i want to have this offer, and they booked it)

Next step was paying - here i used the life-chat to ask thinks like WMZ in stead of WME payment.
Here they also helped really fast.

Last think i contacted them was about a hardware-problem concerning the NIC - it only synced with 100Mbit - instead of 1Gibt.
They promised to fix this within 12 hours - and they did. Exactly 12hous later it was fixed.
(This time i asked with a high priority and they answered within half an hour)

So, i would say the service is fast and feels kompetent.
the server is okay - for the price you can get it - it's very good :)

Only downsides:
The HDD isn't the fastest (unfortionalty, but i can live with this)
no ipv6 (which is bad, but that's probalby a leasweb problem and not one of dzire - even though leaseweb wrote "make a ticket, we will provide you with a /64 for free" )

so.
let's see how long this server will work.
Up till now i have high expectations :D

if you think about buying a server from them - do it.

Yes the X3440
i'm using vm-ware virtualisation without any raid setting.

1GB RAR without compression will be done in about 10s.
With normal compression: i can't say this atm, since i'm encoding a video on the server. with 100% CPU-Load it took about 2mins.
the HDD-Speeds are okay - around 140-150MB/s if you don't do multiple things.
if you write & read in parallel, the speeds will drop dramatically (at least in the virtualsiation - though it looks like the windows-VM has some errors, so this could also be a problem. - i haven't had enough time to install it new)

@Host Dzire:
thanks. i'll do this.

Hmm

this means with big files, the RAR speed will be bad ?

specially with an iso file which compressed from 15 to 7 GB "for example" ?

how is encoding speed ?

that's why i need a SSD disk :(

PS: sorry, what is

@D4rk

Hello,

With raid 0 you can get more disk.
and its SATA 2 disk, which is same in all leaseweb servers,

And if you need Server with ssd contact me using skype :- HostDZire

I can give you really better deal.

no. it shouldn't be a big problem. As i said: i was (and still am) encoding, so there is not that many CPU-Usage left for calculating the compression. That's why it's slow.
if you setup your HDDs into a RAID-System you can probably squeeze even more performance out of the systems :)

how is encoding speed ?
it's okay for me. it's what you can get out of the CPU :)

hum. How to describe this.
my windows runs on another System. Like VirtualBox or VMWare.
This is due to be able to run more than one system on server.
and i haven't set up a RAID (redundant array of independend discs -> RAID - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), since i don't need this atm
