Help on starting a website! (blog to website)

I want to make my blog igoturfix.blogspot.com into igoturfix.com or .net

Im guessing I will need to purchase that Domain name and find a host for a xxx site. (Which ones are good?)

Also I would like to know if it is possible to have the same layout/template once i start the new site? Help please.

I think you need to convert it to wordpress .
