Hi Depaq,

Yes we will be having a promotional event to get the site back up and running as soon as we feel comfortable to bring the site back up again.

We will do our best to help our users get their files backup. If any user has the files backed up on any other filehost we will help you migrate them all. Once we are back up you can PM me and I will provide a tool to import files from any filehost.

VidUP is owned by me as well but the emails were not sent by vidup. Filezy's main server hostname is server3.vidup.me and thats why the emails were coming from "server3.vidup.me".

Since you feel comfortable posting someone's IP address, would you feel as comfortable with someone posting your members' IP's along with any copyrighted files they may have uploaded?

Well first I checked and that IP does not point to house, it actually points to a public place.
And secondly, this person hacked our site and gained unauthorized access to our system, which is illegal. The concept is fairly similar to when a person rubs a shop and police releases their photo to see if anyone can identify them.

And about releasing my members' IPs, All my members know that if they get involved in serious matters (such as CP etc) their IP and all the info we have on them will be reported to the right authorities. However for other matter such as copyright infringements we reserve the right to disable their accounts.

At the end of the day, every action has a reaction, and we are not doing anything illegal by posting the hackers' info on the site.

So it was you who hacked the site? You see thats the problem, none of those users had done anything wrong. on the other hand you did, you hacked into our website and removed all the files.

ahoura mate, if Buddah can access on your site, that doesn't mean he hacked your site. It means your site is still not secure. So I guess you should try to create more strong security & protection for your site before there is another more bigger attack.

and how is that? If you have a problem with me, release my info, attack me but not other people that had nothing to do with this incident! anyways the picture proves that you gain unauthorized access to our server which is illegal.

If you have a problem with me, send me your skype and we can discuss it but dont take it out on other people.

I'm fairly certain ahoura did nothing within this thread to warrant revealing any personal info. He posted the IP of a public place where the cracker was supposedly at. Why would you care about this? Because you did it and you are near this location? What other reason could there possibly be? The fact that you have a screenshot of the admin console only makes it even more convincing.

Sorry, but you are not going to get anything but hate for this action no matter how you try to justify it.

I am doing my best to secure the site, and thats why we havent opened the site yet.

We are trying to backtrack all the events and actions that the hacker did and make sure we fix them.

You possibly cant have the passwords (they were random generated passwords and I can promise you that you did not obtain the passwords legally) and yes it is still illegal. You might be a kid and not know this but if you know the passcode to a debit card and cash out with the owner's consent its considered stealing.

If it is you who hacked the site, I encourage you to contact me because this will be reported to your IPS.

and continue to use Filezy, although I am frustrated of working hours lost, but I think that it must be frustrating for you too.

That was your last chance. You have proven that it was indeed you who hacked the site and we know how you did it.

I dont have the time to deal with a little kid, Thats the old password. I am going to contact the authorities and please note that if you are under 18 you better tell your father that he would be responsible for your actions.

Our guestimate is around 2 days (48 hours) to have everything back to normal and have the security of the script checked.

I will send you a PM when everything is back to normal.

It is not you but rather the idiot who hacked the site that should apologize.
You, you were always correct, this is why I will continue.
 
And hows what you are doing any different? Are you the knight warrior? Did you know that we have a DMCA portal that agents can remove files instantly?

Dont try to justify what you did. You stole our property and data, and removed our files.
You have done the following:
- Invade innocent users' privacy
- Damage our business
- Access our data without permission
- Distribute our data without permission

Now lets say hypothetically what you said is right and we/our users are profiting from copyrighted material, this is hypothetically, but I can promise you what you have done is much worse and is indeed punishable by law.

I hope you understand.
