Faster but depending what you click.

- Clicking on "All Files" the response time was intermittent - sometimes instant, other times take 30 secs or more.
- Searching is also intermittent, between 5 and 60 secs. I wonder if my 32,000 files was the culprit :)
- Clicking on folders are between instant and 5 secs. However, I noticed those folders that have fewer files are the fastest and those that have more than 200 files are slower. There is also a difference between different 200-file folders: those files that have a lot of downloads are noticeable slower than those 200-file folders that have fewer or 0 downloads.

Keep in mind these findings may not be accurate as I didn't use a timer to time it.

FYI, the test started on: Wednesday, 12 January 2011, 09:47:42 PST and ended about 10 minutes later.

With the new file manager coming out, loading the "My Files" page should be halved..So if it took you 30 seconds now, it should take you max 15 tomorrow.

And yes...If your folder contains 2000 links vs. 20 links...Pulling data on the 2000 is more "stressful" than the 20, hence why it would be quicker on the 20. It is about pulling the data..if there's no data to be fetch you would be iceskating around the file manager.

New file manager will have rename function where you do not end up in "root" again, thus renaming will be less "painful"

It was mentioned before, tagged as not probable but anyway: I haven't had any site sales for months now, which wouldn't be anything strange, if I hadn't daily site sales at hotfile and filesonic and the value of the accounts fluctuated from 50-100usd. Only fileserve hasn't shown any activity at all for months. Could you tell you techs to look at it, please? Because, with all due respect, I do not believe there is not a single sale.

Report:
Its Faster!
Sometimes a little stuck when i switch from uploads to my files but the improvment are great.
THX
Regards to the Techs and to Ricky

FS shouldn't be down.

@ sceneroot: I'll get back to you on that. As said, we record sessions and not cookie, so if your users divert from any other places when ending up on FS, you will lose that sale. Session prevents people from doing cookie stuffing.

@ salebre: Check today when you go to "My Files" when new file manager comes out :)

Ricky, I need to back up my files on fileserve to another file host. I have about 500 GB of files to copy from FS to RL to another file host. I will be using my unmetered rapidleech and my other fileserve premium account. Will you please not disable my account for doing this? I'll PM you my username and the IP of my rapidleech.
