Linux VPS is a product and Windows VPS is another product, if you have selected the wrong product and need to be refunded open a ticket with the billing team and they get back to you and process your refund request according to our Terms Of Service within 24 hours.

Just one note Linux is a free OS while Windows is required a license.

Same with me, seems like someone has made a big screwup and lied to them

I replied to dohost that they can re-install the operating system and wipe everything of the VPS and then reenable it, there is no way a portscan could have happened from my VPS

I think someone is either spoofing ip address or their server or systems got compromised

Ok the operating system was reinstalled as per my request and server unsuspended, thank you dohost and I apologize for earlier remarks.

also: to my horror I discovered that HyperVM shows root passwords in plaintext, why? You are one compromise away from disaster, have you checked your server was not compromised? since it seems I am not the only one who was wrongly accused, disabling your clients just like that is not the way to go :(

In my life I have tried a lot of VPS but dohost.us is one among the top 3.
I just want to give positive criticism. Thank you for everything dohost you have an excellent technical support. On my every ticket you answered and I never waited more than an hour. When I have a VPS with data centers in the USA and VPS works like a Swiss watch :) Stable, fast and 99% online.
