Do you use Linux/Mac?

Which OS do you use the most for normal desktop usage?

Just wondering how many of you use Linux/Mac more than Windows for normal desktop usage :).

Additionally I'd like to know if it bugs you (Linux/Mac users) that most (homebrew) applications are not available on Linux/Mac so please explain if that's the case.

I use to use linux a bit but gave up as there wasn't many/any of the stuff I use available for it, as for Mac I would use it if I could afford one,I tried to install the osx86 version on my pc but failed to get it working.

I have used ubuntu almost 2 years, really happy whit it :)

almost every program i need can be run whit Wine, or if that wont work i have XP on virtualbox.

I use Windows, as its the best operating system (statistically) because nearly everything is meant for use on Windows.
If I could though, I would rock out Ubuntu (Linux)

Ubuntu is nice for Linux beginners or people who usually click next/ok on dialog windows without reading it. But IMHO all Ubuntu does is take. They use Debian and don't give anything back to the community (Kernel development etc).

OpenSUSE & Fedora FTW >_>.

Mac, its brilliant especialy for designing, running websites etc cause there are so many more usefull applications for mac that integrate with the system than windows. Plus, if you have that application you need on mac that only works on windows, you just use a parallel application to run it, but most windows applications have a mac version so its kwl. Or theres the option to boot camp, which im currently doing with XP which works brilliantly.

I use linux and windows, I split my main hd into 2 partitions so I could run either. It isn't so much that linux os more secure it is really more a matter of the fact that most hackers use linux so creating virus's for linux is sure to have serious blowback if the creater of said virus is found.

Dual Boot with XP & Fedora (KDE 4.3).

i'm using linux more and more now. I haven't used my windows partition in over 2 weeks actually, and with Wine becoming very stable at running any windows programs. They have done a very nice job :)

Can't wait for more progress :D

I'm actually on dual boot to with XP and openSUSE. Just tried 11.2 with KDE 4.3 final, ext4 fs and a desktop flavor of the latest kernel RC release <3. Awesome stuff. I like the new KDE Air theme.

I used to use ubuntu but now im using osx86 , works perfect on my intel dual core laptop , only thing is there is no wireless drivers so im using a USB adapter at the moment.
