foxman, friend you miss the point, if someone wants to get 10 blueray per day
needs 45 gb per day. In now adays most people wants get 150-200 gb per day
means 30-40 blueray movies. In my filesonic archive I had god 1200 blueray movies
was sharing in hd-bb. If a depositfiles member can get 5 movies per day he could get
200 days to get all movies. Why they limit, cause they do not want waste their money
to buy more servers and bandwith and wants earn money with the servers they get.
Only way is limiting download limits, it force members to buy more account. They got double shot. More sales and less space for uploaders.

true, but what can any1 do about that?! only DF can do something

After big hosts dead, people joined to small hosts has few thousand members and
they did not expected that. But even if nearly 2 months passed they do nothing for
upgrade and updating their common systems. They force people to accept their rules instead of wasting their money to buy more servers to get more members.

thats exactly what im saying foxman... DF is dealing with god knows how many migrant users right now. just give them sometime to balance everything up and they may even increase the daily usage or even lift. they know full well right now they are the most trust worthy and if they have a brain in their skull they will take advantage of this mess and make themselves known and gain great popularity with which money comes. the opposite is also possible meaning scamming uploaders and running with the money ! only time will tell !

foxman, luches , 20 gb = 4 blueray movies , 20 gb is prehistoric value. 20 gb = 25 dvdrip movies
where are you live ???? amazon or arabic deserts??

It depends on what one uploads and shares. In my case, I upload files around 40MB to 90MB. And I update them weekly per file groups. So the thing is, DepositFiles is a right file host for me because I don't need to spam uploading, and my usual audience only need to download my updates one per week per file groups. That is the same reason I don't mind the "one IP per download per day count" system. Why use DF when it does not meet your needs/demands, as an uploader you should find a host that can meet your demands/as a downloader you should have demanded your uploader to use another mirror if it can be?

Limits and counting could be found as inconvenient by some uploaders, so I think what needs to be said on that issue is "DF is not the right hosting for them".

Just IMHO.

About the server overloading, I think they are still trying to see the stats and situation before buying new servers. Buying and installing them is not something to be decided in a day or two. It should be carefully planned, and estimate how much will be needed to fulfill the current demand for server load/space/traffic. You can't just buy a few and know later that you've bought less thus wasting more time ordering more, or that you've bought more than needed and let the unused traffic/load/space being paid for as "useless expense".

Nothing is a cause, if fileserve, filesonic could do this and both were younger than
depositfiles. The most importan point is intention, if you want to serve people
and give them best services, you have to waste money. But most russian based companies
wants to earn money without wasting money like oron.com, turbobit, extabit, depositfiles.
Check all of them, upload speed is problem, download speed is problem, they put difference
blockage to prevent uploads.

on principal you are completely right 1000watt but this file-hosting business is a shady business since basically it breaks the law on a regular basis (copyright law i mean) and the whole thing is kinda illegal partially!! so the people who usually come into this business are partially shady and cheaters themselves and filesonic and fileserve are a really rare example of seemingly honest filehosting who turned out be thieves in the end and stole the money ! you see what i mean. the whole filehosting thing is not a really legal thing to begin with, so you usually should not expect an honest service ^^

It's going back to the basics even after all the complicated matters:

You don't like the file host services = Don't use the file host
You like the file host services = Use it

It would look so pathetic wailing on how crap the service is when one uses it still after all.

all hostings now have problem with paypal and many no longer offer paypal as a payout option. you need contact their support and ask yourself !

I think that 1000Watt loses focus ... these filehosts were created for personal downloads not for leeching other people's files.

20Gb is enough for the average downloader.

sniffdog, 20 gb is enough for dvdrip downloader, but if I download blueray movies that each is 4,5 gb ? Let us remember blueray is new focus of movie downloader. Who wants bad view. Even if I download Blueray RIP movies are 2 gb each movies.

I tried with 100 mbit home and 1 gbit rdp both mostly gives less than 1mbit
and very few number files give over 1 mbit speed.

I tested with a german VPS (hentzer). maby im close to the server but it my dls hover around 5MB/s to sometime 16MB/s (rarely though). web upload is also usually around 1MB/s-2MB/s

for how many files you tried? I tried 20 files (tried to download and upload them 2 by 2, 3 by 3 and 4 by 4), I'm in UK and my rdp in NL.
