I just tried opening it again after a while, and everything started working. However, I tried uploading via the API, and it takes a really long time, much longer than on other services. Do you only return the link once the video has been processed, rather than immediately after the upload?
No, the link isn’t held back until encoding. You get the file_code once the upload has been joined together on our side (status assembling, then complete). Encoding then runs in the background and the video shows as processing. After your last chunk, call /upload/status until state is complete. The server is also quite busy at the moment, which slows the joining step. Tell me which part feels slowest (the upload itself, the wait after the last chunk, or getting the link) and I’ll look at improving it.

The actual uploading.

Is it faster now?
I’m not sure if anything has changed, but it still seems to take quite a long time - a 650 MB video took 4 minutes and 20 seconds to upload. This means that uploading a batch of 65 videos would take a significant amount of time. I don’t know, maybe I’m doing something wrong? anyone else using the API?

Your 650 MB in about 4 minutes is roughly 20 Mbit/s, and our server receives far faster than that, so the limit is on the path from you to us. To speed up a batch of 65 you could:

1. send several chunks at once (for example 4 to 6 in parallel; any order works), and upload several videos at the same time

2.if the files are already online somewhere, use /api/upload/url and our server fetches them directly, which skips your upload entirely

3. use SFTP from the dashboard. If you tell me roughly what you’re using for uploads (script, language, or a tool), I can suggest the best setup.
