Discussion about the game, thoughts, complaints, ect.

The game itself has potential and is defiantly better then mw2 and waw (as both were crap). I like the fact that you buy everything and almost everything can be customized. The player cards are awesome, and the cinema is really slick and actually works well.


I just have a few problems

- stupid kids who can't afford internet get host. This is a major flaw in the game and one of the most annoying. Seriously needs to be fixed as it doesn't pick the best host.

- drop shooting is really dumb and very unrealistic. If your in a gun battle and your both standing up you wouldn't have time to drop down. Although they tried to patch it and fix it is still over used

- quick snipping was suppose to be addressed and never was

- game mods are dumb, why didn't they expand on the hardcore game mods. At least bring back hardcore mosh pit :(

All i know is that i was pro COD2 player and later COD4 noob player, then i stopped playing both games.

COD2 is old skool and everyone will aggree with me, however i made vBulletin 4 skin for COD7 forums here.

I was looking back in the last 10 games I haven't had one game with full 4 green bars and im running 50mb/sec connection. A bit of a problem, no?
 
It's indeed more like battlefield / world at war, not like the modern warfare series (that's to be expected)
However the PC version SUCKS SO BAD, apart from the extreme lag at release (I guess that's normal) the amount of bugs is insane
I can play at 25fps with a quad core extreme 3.6ghz and 2x gtx 280sli, with resolution at 1280x720, texture setting low, and everything else turned off. Despite that I still have framedrops, spikes, sudden 5 sec freezes and so on.
When they come with a patch though, seems the game is pretty good, saw some nice weapons (ballistic knife) altough I'm more into modern weapons, so I won't be playing this much as MW2 (if MW2 only had servers like Black Ops, it would be the best game ever. Highrise & Terminal 24/7 :|)

The game mods are awesome btw, gungame and others (SHP I think?), really awesome
 
Forgot to add the fact that the whole party system is messed up. You can't exit with a party after the game started, people always get kicked, ect.

MW2 was heaps better. Ever since MW came out, this series became an action FPS, not some retarded ass game that involves patience (BFBC2). Also, the host problems might be because you're on the PS3. I haven't had any games where I lag and I'm on a 6MB/s connection. Quick Scopes were probably the best thing about the Call of Duty series and they took them out completely. Aside from a sniper having deadly accuracy, it's not a factor in Black Ops. You can't scope in fast enough with your sniper against your opponent to QS them because Sleight of Hands no longer aims down sights faster for snipers. Also, no one played Hardcore game modes, they sucked ass. Everyone would be camping with overpowered guns like the FAL since they're one shot kills so that's why they took it out I'm presuming.

Meh I have, I just prefer servers (!!) & mouse and keyboard ><

Servers are the best, at last no fucking system that decides what I play (while I paid $70), but I can choose what I play myself
 
Honestly I expected waaayy more.
And now I can say that I am disappointed.

I prefer the MW2 style of play.
BO has some nice features that they tried to implement in the game.

If Modern Warfare 3 has the same style as MW2 and the features of BO like dedicated servers etc, it will; be the best game ever.

SO I won't be playing BO as much as I still play MW2.
 
had a few rounds on black ops today was lagging like crazy seems alot less things on this one than modern warefare 2

if anyone is on xbox live add my lenney87 if you fancy a game
 
Of course you sold a lot of copies elite, all the stores nearby and in the city sold all the copies on the release day, it's a game that everyone just had to buy.. I don't regret the purchase but I am very disappointed, I did expect so much more from this game..

anyone of you finished the single-player yet?
 
Next time tell us why the game isnt good.
