Hey guys,

im looking for a small vps (openvz is ok) for a private proxy server (only one user - me! :)).

Possible Locations: Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg, Canada, Russia, Estonia, Romania, Isle of Man, Malaysia, Singapore and any other state who doesnt works well together with public authorities of Germany.

Minimum Specs:
- 128 mb ram
- 5 gb space
- 100mbit shared
- 2+ TB Bandwith

Price
It should be cheaper than 40$/year. I will pay yearly via Paypal.

Hope someone can offer a box fulfilling my specs.

haha thanks! :) I have already a vps from digitalocean. Its a great host, yep, but i hope to find a service within my price limit.

Anyone else an idea?

the problem is your price-limit with about 3,33$ per Month.
this makes it nearly impossible to find a vps with more than 1TB traffic.
all i can think about is s.th. like this: http://roberthost.com/billing/cart?a=confproduct&i=0 (but it's usa)

if you want to pay a little more, there are lots more prossibilites.
e.g.
http://www.edis.at/de/server/kvm-server/schweden/kvm-starter/ (well somewhat expensive)
what about NL? -> http://www.wjunction.com/46-vps/166...6mb-ram-10gb-hdd-1gbps-starting-$5-mo-nl.html
etc. there are a few cheap vps here in this section.
 
Many hosters offer unlimited Traffic and 512-1024MB Ram for 5-8$!

Is there no host who offers less ram for a lower price?

Maybe with a custom plan?

At the moment i have a vps at a german hoster for 1,99€/month with better specs i described in my first post. is there no vps provider in netherlands or any other country than germany that can sell for similar prices?

Being that this will be used as a proxy your price is right for a small vps with high bandwidth, but the top issue here is what port speed would you need as a high tb proxy means torrent traffic...

I doubt you will need 2tb+ for browsing..
 
well....youtube (i often listen to songs on youtube), some downloads, and so on. nothing you wouldnt do too. no torrent!

last month i used 1tb. so 1tb upload + 1tb download => 2tb combined. Because most hosts count combined i said 2tb. to make it clear: i need 1tb up/downloading in one month. But if a provider count upload AND download (because every gb i download to my pc is 1gb up- and 1gb download on proxy server) i need 2tb at proxy server.

Regardless, I think if you need a 2TB plan you'll need to raise your budget. Get a plan with higher RAM. No host will usually allocated 128MB RAM with 2TB bandwidth.
