@RapidVideo I get your point, even though by using us you may easily afford to pay the servers - however, it's your call.

@jake wilder I think Stefan has a point here, there are a lot of expenses when it comes to manage a website with uploaded content. And the worse part is, there's nothing you can do when the rate you get for the ads drops to an all time low. Basically, the users are spending money on ads to generate conversions - and if those stops coming - he goes with another source. So I don't think it's fair to trash talk so much especially if you worked previous with him and went great.
 
I also never wanted to return here. Why just decrease to 10$ only,now you can decrease the rates to zero even, as i have moved my videos and i don't intend to return to bitporno. As i had earlier predicted - rates will definitely go downhill from now- which can be understood from your comments.
So, best of luck to all the uploaders who are staying with bitporno.
 
Jake really i don't understand you. His give you good speed in the videos, Full HD 1080 convert with very good bitrate, max size 25g, unlimited space with out delete files after x days, 4 quality for different devices. His fix fast any problems and answer in all users problems. How many video hosts working like this? If you dont like it because you cant make tons of money is simple change host

Today, currently, im renewing the upload system and update it with new script version. However all are massuploading and I banned one user who did this 24/7 with 40.000 files but sending to us only 10 views per day.
 
I think in remote url upload is better you allow 2-3 links per time and you can use captcha for block uploads bots. I dont think someone upload 40k videos manual i think use bot
 
The whole Upload system is new and updated now. Its faster than the old infrastructure now. Its more stable and hopefully it wont show a error again.

Sure, we fix issues first, its appearing when under high load only..... right now i think its finally fixed.

Then you get Mobile Version of Bitporno. Maybe Ad-free.

We already got GPU Encoder servers for 1080p encoding, activating it soon, 20x-40x times faster... soon the whole encoding times will be reduced a lot.
 
How long will the 200 vid / 24h limit be active?

I often get no preview image / thumbnails after upload? The files are converted and play fine, though. Could this please be optimized?

Upload script optimization is done.

-> Then:
First the counting script further optimization,
then encoding script further optimization..

Takes up to 2-3 days.

-> Then limit maybe increased...

Thats right, preview images is the most problematic at this moment, i fix it soon as possible... it takes 1-5 min encoding per thumbnail, but the videos has top encoding pirority.

If the abuse is too much, then we add a ranking system, where the lowest rank is videos deleted after 7 days inactivity, less storage, where the highest rank is more than 60 days + big storage.... The rank is calucated from views / storage ratio.

too old counting system, the database got almost full to the point where it doesnt accept new entries... but ...


New Count system successful migrated and its a real-time count system, so the stats are real-time.

Next step: Encoding system further improvements.
