1. Mayan Calendar
So this is where it all started. they cba to write anything after the year 2012 on their map (made centuries ago) so everything is gonna blow up and we're all gonna die? yeah sure.
2. Sun Storms
Can you predict sun storms which are gonna occur in 2-3 years? no you cant.
3. The Atom Smasher
They are already doing this, search for the large hadron collider, they have been smashing shit together for years.
Smashing protons and neutrons together will give you quarks, anti-quarks, neutrino's and loads of other shit which no1 cares about... Physicists have been doing this for years.
4. The Bible says...
The bible is a book filled with bullshit, sorry to all you religious folk, but the bible is a story book about a little boy named jesus and some other crap which no1 with half a brain cares about.
5. Super Volcano
Oh noes earth is gonna burp! more nonsense, maybe they are predicting an earthquake, but according to predictions it wont do anything too serious.
6. The Physicists
Next thing they will say is "we have made the world's first time machine which takes you 1 second into the future! oooooh"

Well one thing is for sure, one day it will all end. It could end tomorrow, or in a few million years. But putting dates on it is just plain stupid. And the saddest thing about this whole 2012 hype is that when that time comes some people will take their life. Like the woman who committed suicide last year because she thought the LHC would kill us all when they turned it on. There's even a forum out there for people who WILL kill themselves before the 2012 date. I mean just picture that madness, a forum where the main topic is killing yourself and assisting you with it all because some cavemen high on toxic plants made a calender which ends in 2012. Wtf is this shithole coming to? Especially when you consider the fact that the ones who fuel the hype are the ones that get $ from it. Hollywood, book authors, webmasters, etc etc. Yet and still some are actually stupid enough to believe this 1st class bullshit and actively participate in fueling the hype, such as the 1st post did. It just goes to show how many dumb people are really out there.
