Fileserve is cheating stats (You may no longer bitch here!)

Staff(ricky) away for 2 weeks. War going on lol....

I have no idea what is fileserve doing it... atm...

stats goes down down down.. no matter how much is share...

Lol. No where did I support your claim(s). Might want to go read that again. I said it's a possibility. They can do it if they want to, and there's nothing you uploaders can do about it. Your so called claims of 'uploaders make or break a filehost' are wrong. It's the filehosts that make or break uploaders. They just need to put out a nice cash offer for the money hungry people out there, and they'll get enough uploaders promoting them to generate cash. Once they have enough, they could fuck you all over for all it matters to them, and you'd be the ones screaming about how you all are important.

@Cvrle77 I don't think the one file at a time download test is good enough to test if downloads are calculated correctly because it doesn't replicate typical download conditions. You would need to get a group of people from different IP ranges to download a file simultaneously then see how well the downloads are counted.

You did not get my point, did you? All I said was threads like these make absolutely no difference. People claiming they'll see the error of their ways (assuming they're cheating, which is not an established fact just because people here can pick a few numbers and say they don't match as they should), are claiming wrong.

Crying about statistics is not going to help. The filehost can terminate your account should they wish, and you would be able to do naught about it. So yeah, that's my point.

I never once insinuated anywhere in any of my posts that the filehosts don't profit off illegal content. So no, I'm not acting like they don't profit off that content. But you don't see filehosts crying about how some uploaders/leechers/people whatever cheat them time and time again, do you?

Yes, rapidshare would be a good example.

Lifetalk, we can get to solution here. Which would basically be: when user tries to download link, connections are getting reset. That can explain everything. 100 points in fileserve manager, and one download. And also dropping in earnings. I tried to download something as premium few hours ago, and gave up, bcs connection keeps reseting. However this might not be the issue with fileserve themselves. This can be the issue with DC, carriers, or something else. Also, it could be fileserve servers itself. But, is there anyone to tell us right now?

Everyone, check for yourself, check your posts, do users complain about this, check community, what they say.

But maybe someone from fileserve staff is here, watching, monitoring. If we don't write, they will not know..

THANK YOU ! Finally someone points this out. I dont reckon you warez uploaders think about how much trouble you can get the provider in by uploading warez. Get a real job and earn a living , not by uploading movie piracy gzzz.

The presence of Ricky makes no difference, He is being paid to support the company not the users.

BTW I am not uploading for the money. My primary filehost is Mediafire but it really bothers me when somebody is taking due advantage of us.
 
well, u guys(the guys making acquisitions) dont consider the fact that FS just counts 1 download from one IP in 24 hr frame.

So if a person downloads file which is uploaded by A & than downloads the file uploaded by B.

than in account of A & B that download would be counted but only A's download would be counted for stats page(earning).
